Solo them now...unthinkable a couple of weeks ago :(

I just saw a VR9 take out a level 20 Dolmen solo. Yeah, that was certainly "heroic." I've soloed low level things, too. But where's the fun?

To each his own, by all means. But hold the boasting, if you please...

I'm guilty of doing this. I had to go back after I hit VR5 or so and do a few of the lower level Dolmans I missed for the achievement.
I had to solo some stuff I had outleveled myself.
But usually when I do, I ask people if they want to "catch a ride" on the high level solo train.
It may cost me a minute or two to wait, but I am not a stickler for a minute or two.

I care about them but I solo them. And I usually just do all the world bosses once when I finish the zone, do the dolmens and then finish the quests.

So to sum up, in a thread asking if any one groups up to do bosses any more, your answer is I don't know, I never did anyway. Thanks for the valuable insight.
I can see how you might have thought I was trying to be a wise*** there, but I really wasn't. My point wasn't that I don't know because I haven't done it, My point was that if people want to group, theoretically at least, they would. So given the the choice in a vacuum where neither of the two options is actually necessary, one would choose the option that best suits their desire.

But most bosses no longer fall into that category, for the simple reason you don't need a group, even before the Vet change you could 2 man most locations, and many of the Dolmans. Added to the fact that if you were to group for this content it is actually a negative, since it takes more time. And while I understand your in a Vacuum statement it is never that way because group always takes more time, and effort. So I disagree with your statement people would group if they wanted to. Most people wont because it is slower, and a lot slower with people you don't know. So if you give groupers no incentive to group, be it harder content or better xp, loot something, most people wont willingly slow themselves down. MMO'ers like the path of least resistance.

For example, you say you wont group with people you don't know. You don't actually have a problem grouping, since you do it with your Boyfriend. Why wont you group with people you don't know?

If you ask for help you should wait and not leave 2 minutes later.

...or begging for help, and when people turn up, scream and curse and name calling at 'em that he don't need no f*** help anymore, yadda yadda...
So I turned around, and happily watched him getting his backside handed to him...

If someone's asking for help in chat, I'll usually come around. Sometimes I'm too late *shrug*, no drama :)

When I was growing up, the answer to "Why doesn't anyone answer when I ask them to play with me?" was "They don't want to play with you..." The incentive to group is desire to do so. If grouping disappears when circumstance ceases to force it, one can safely assume that grouping wasn't desired to begin with. At least, that is what logic would suggest.
I personally dislike grouping with anyone I don't know, so I group with my boyfriend and anything we can't do together, I don't do because I don't group with strangers and I resent the attempt to force me to do so.

So to sum up, in a thread asking if any one groups up to do bosses any more, your answer is I don't know, I never did anyway. Thanks for the valuable insight.

Dont bash her, she just stated how she feels about grouping, and there is nothing wrong with it. Idiotic comments wont help/change anything really. Dont forget solo/duo players are huge part of ESO playerbase, even if we prefer to group and do raids/PVP etc, we still need them, for game to survive, for new content, be it solo or group, to be developed.

LOL is from me for being a jerk a bit :)

Duoing for the nerfed Vet+ Content is most DEFINITELY GROUPING lol. Still no INCENTIVE or ADDED MOTIVATORS FOR GROUPING. Of course duoing partners and anyone else who WANTS TO GROUP in Vet+ content still face phasing issues and little incentive to actually group. Thus the current threads for "Why won't anyone group with me?" *Grins, just wait til ya get to endgame. >:)

But, mob difficulty is so comfortable now you can just run along and chat with your partner and giggle and have an adult bev and click a few buttons and its just a breeze save for a tiny/few/one or two mob fights that require a little bit of thinking...ah, TESO, the new solo all the time/solo through all content/group for a laugh and not much else/soon to come solo endgame content!

Not sure why there are still calls for stam/magicka ratio adjustment or armor stats changes...no need. Oh yea, gotta remember our sisters and brothers who enjoy PvPing do still have Cyr for now. Since PvE Vet content was changed "just a tad"so abruptly lol, ZOS might be considering some exclusive 'soft' questing for PvE'rs put into Cyrodill as well since that is being asked for also, be attentive :\.

So different than what it was advertised to be: an MMO in the ES setting with some familiar elements, soloability in the early levels with challenging GROUPING in Vet content providing fun, rewards and practice for players to arrive at endgame knowing wth they are doing.

    (*) Not. (*) :o

I do them once only for the initial experience or if I'm helping another player out because they helped me defeat a world boss.

Their is no incentive to kill them more than once. Maybe if each zone in vet levels had a dailie for them and some loot bags to open it would bring players back to doing them. I would like to see them done for dolmens too.

Zone chat off, I solo them or I help out if I come across one being attacked. Drops from them are really bad, so I usually don't waste my time to go out of my way. I think last boss I killed with someone else I got got 64 gold and a white item.

If there was some sort of benefit of repeating world bosses aside from mediocre drops and soso experience I'm sure they'd be more popular, but as it stands you get the achievement and move on, never to look back. If you can't solo it you spam /zone (this becomes less efficient come veteran rank 1-5 and 5-10 zones, as everyone is grinding in Craglorn).

I will usually help if I see it in the chat. It's hard to see anything between all the sellers and people typing out a full page ad for their guild recruitment. I still care though, the last one I beat (even though he was a jerk) I sent him a fruit basket and get well card because I can't imaging my great sword felt that great splitting his skull!

First, fair point, I know first hand what a pain the phasing issues are. I hear they are fixing that, though. I suffer through specifically because I do want to group with him. I actively desire to play with him, so I put up with the aggravations involved to do so. (On a side note, I am, for this reason, just as adamantly opposed to forced solo content.)
To answer your question though, I don't group with strangers because I have seen him in groups with other people in other games. And I have read the horror stories. Him complaining that this or that group member isn't playing well enough in his opinion. Other people complaining that this or that one didn't build their character to "right." I don't need the drama. Also, I'm honestly not that great a player, and I don't believe in being carried, but I also play for fun, it isn't fun to play the way someone else wants me to just to be able to pull my weight, or to be perceived to be pulling my weight. I can get that at work.
On the other hand, when he starts giving me crap about how I play, he is here where I can kick him in the shins.

Shouldn't we be getting Fighters Guild XP for every repeat of World Bosses and Dolmen? In any case, I prefer soloing because I get tired of idiots pulling a room full of mobs without bothering to ask if the group is actually ready for a pull, or same said idiots running off without conferring with the group to do something on their own or ignoring the fact that they're IN A GROUP all together and acting like their actions have no consequence for the rest of the group.

My zone chat has its own tab that I rarely check because quite frankly, zone chat is annoying. Besides that, I usually solo them.

The loot drops are not worth doing them more than once unless someone I know wants help & since the VR nerf I can solo most of them with my stamina NB so I'd assume they are crazy simple for the better builds.

Ideally they will make WBs crazy hard and allow them to drop decent gold and maybe even a couple of bits of mail.

I solo'd that giant lizard in Shadowfen (vr8) and got... a single scrap of raw material... It was pretty big, even with a blunt knife I could have got a bit mote skin off it...

World bosses in this game are very bland and don't seem epic like they do in GW2, and that game gave you notifications if a boss was up through the in game map.

A lot of the world bosses in this game are just like, slightly bigger human NPC's.....so who cares. It's too bad though, because I think killing world bosses in MMO's is really fun and adds a lot of immersion and sense of camaraderie with your realm mates.

My experience so far with world bosses:

    10% Blue item
    50% green item
    30% white item
    10% Nothing

I have cleared all of them at this point (VR 10) and have found it to be just not worth it to go out of the way to kill them.
