I'm with @Obscure on this one. starting out honest is the best bet. I'm a lifelong geek and I made good and dang sure I not only made that clear to the boyfriend from the start, but also chose another geek to begin with. Who needs the hassle of racial mixing? (Yes, I consider non-geeks another race, perhaps even another species, unworthy of my time and attention.) Granted, he's an MMO gamer while I'm far more into any other other kind of RPG, but because I don't expect him to to whine at me when I'm playing, I don't whine at him while he's playing. The only exceptions to this are when he's playing his alt when we are supposed to be playing together, or he wants his dinner cooked when I'm in the middle of an interesting quest line or important crafting.
Edited to add the word dinner

Knee deep in fail. GG on the topic that points out what an inept partner you are and how lucky we are to have you off the market, so we don't end up stuck with a hot pocket devouring pop swilling basement dweller
Me thinks someone needs to get drunk, layed or both. Lighten up just a tad man, this is just a game. If it is dragging you down that much then I strongly recommend you move on. Life is way to short to go through it bitter.

So...ah...you, uhm, have any sisters?

I do, but they're already taken and not as 'passionate' (obsessed?) with games as much as me! Not quite as gorgeous & sexy either...haha

Give the 6-year-old her on computer. Introduce her to gaming.

I've used up everything in my arsenal, including pulling out the trump card -- a study demonstrating that female nagging kills men (Study: Nagging By A Spouse Could Shorten Your Life) -- although I'm not sure if that was an intelligent move on my part; her complaints have only intensified.
Obviously if I'm forced to choose between on the one hand, ESO, and on the other, my gorgeous, young (she's 30, I'm 43) girlfriend of 11 years and my 6-year-old daughter (her birthday's today, btw), ESO wins hands down; but is there anything left at my disposal to make sure it doesn't come to that? I really do love them, sort of. When they're not nagging me.
Tips welcome!
