I don't see any benefit to being a werewolf and I've tried vampire it's cool for pvp but for pve Is not worth taking 50% extra fire damage, too many mobs use fire. As a sorcerer I have other abilities to keep my health bar full.

Is not a nice feeling when you get chased down by 3 goblins spitting fire, man it hurts and they appear from no where because they are so small.

Fire resist. My witch runs from 800 to 1600 depending on the situation. She swaps out jewelery with Fire Resist and Armor depending on her needs. Really, I don't find it to be a big problem. The pyromancers are always a priority and I'll approach a room full of fire scamps/banekins carefully but in general it's no big deal.

There is nothing even close to Invigorating Drain for health restore. As well ultimate stacks up quickly from that, and the ultimate Devouring Swarm is a beastly AoE attack that returns health as well.

It's why they may be OP.

    Werewolf
I'm more of a werewolf person, especially ones that transform at will like in TES instead of only being able to during the full moon. I couldn't be a vampire... I love the sun too much (though Vamps in ESO are unaffected by sunlight for some odd reason).
But yeah, I rarely use Werewolf in ESO since you're not a glass cannon like you're supposed to be, you're more of a glass vase: unable to deal or take more than a gentle caress accross the face.

actually, in morrowind you did in fact trasnform at night. I haven't messed with werewolves in oblivion. I think skyrim is the first time you had a choice, excepting when using the ring of hircine.

Also, this is way way before Dawnguard which was new during Skyrim. Now the Companions would be possible wouldn't it?

This is a problem of narrow-mindedness, where an individual perceives that only their way of thinking is the adult way of thinking and everything else is flawed. The reality is much more diverse.

I still love vampires and werewolves because I was fascinated with them as a child, as well as horror movies in general. Just because I am an adult now doesn't mean I have to toss that out because adults can't have fun or some rubbish like that.

I find it rather foul to suggest that one can't enjoy such things due to their age, or that they are "immature" because they enjoy them. I also still like comic books and action figures. That doesn't mean I am not an adult, I certainly deal with the unpleasant crap about being an adult enough.

I'm 67. You are playing with a doll. Yours is no more mature than mine.

Oh well EDIT: You are a bit delusional as well.

Anyway, I have 7 active chars, with 4 fighters. The fighters I have put the most time into are my tough sorc and my vampire witch, another sorc. They are both just short of level 40. My other vampire is a level 21 Imperial DK and he has become much more fun since I found my bloodfiend. I have a Kajiit NB I have not developed much as well. My son has a Wood Elf VR2 vampire NB that he plays amazingly well.

I love my vampire witch. I have to assume an evil yet somewhat friendly attitude as I mainly save people, you've played this game ... right? As a creature of the night who hates the spawn of Molag Bal worse than any Elf, Man or Beast. I go up against his dead and undead as one of them. It is very sweet RP for a game with perhaps more beings like me than like you. To fight and protect my natural victims from others of evil intent requires an almost schizophrenic approach to the game. My other chars sometimes feel a bit ... normal after playing her for a while.

well I have both, just got the vamp this morning so haven't fully tested him out yet. The werewolf I've had since they came out (let me tell you it was hard getting a scratch with all the people running around the second week of the game lol). I've maxed out the werewolf went the berserker wolf since I do a lot of solo runs. I don't use my wolf form that much if at all....but for "rp" I like them both equally.

FYI - There is no such thing as 'night capping' in a world wide MMO.
FYI - There was no paid Beta. When they launched the game the Beta was over, even if you don't think it was.
    FYI - It's B2P not F2P. There is a difference.
FYI - It doesn't take any player skill to mash keys or buttons in this game. The ones that stay alive longer have the better internet connection and speed.
FYI - The game is not broken, it still works. It just has 'bugs' that need to be fixed.
    Balance is a "Bad" thing.

Example: There were hundreds of Jedi and only two Sith in Star Wars. The Jedi wanted, "Balance in the Force" and they got it. Now there are only two Jedi and two Sith.

Until (if) Werewolves get a very serious buff, under no circumstances become one. They are currently completely, utterly and totally worthless in every way. If their ultimate was free you would still be a fool to use it. They really are that bad. The entire skill line needs to be redesigned from scratch, so unless that happens I'd skip them entirely.

I went werewolf. Yeah, they're totally underpowered compared to vampires, but I really don't like the vampire aesthetic, or the idea of worrying about what stage I'm at, or worrying about having to mitigate fire (there seem to be far fewer poison effects in the game than fire). Plus, I spent an awful lot of time as a werewolf in Skyrim (the Companions questline and characters were some of my favorites in the game), so it's sort of my way of recapturing some of that. I've always liked wolves anyway.
