Werewolf for the sheer coolness of it.
BUT... play vamp if you actually want to play a sub-race that works ! (werewolf playability still sucks)

I generally prefer to be human, but I have a vamp for the novelty of it. Werewolves just never appeal to me, might be the constant wet dog smell. :mask:

I've never cared much for werewolves. I just don't find them interesting. I've always been a vampire fan however. Apart from the love crazed teenage vampires as seen in some dreadful movies, vampires are mysterious and cool.

I'm more of a werewolf person, especially ones that transform at will like in TES instead of only being able to during the full moon. I couldn't be a vampire... I love the sun too much (though Vamps in ESO are unaffected by sunlight for some odd reason).
But yeah, I rarely use Werewolf in ESO since you're not a glass cannon like you're supposed to be, you're more of a glass vase: unable to deal or take more than a gentle caress accross the face.

Pets puppy gently, Would you like a treat?

Hay look on the bright side, at least you can lick your own balls.

*Bites off hand* I might be in a wolf's body, but I do still have a human mind. No ball licking for me :P

But I just know someone's reading this thread as is thinking:

    "Werewolf ball licking?"

And that thought creeps me out :(

Vampire. It's so much fun. You play one well and you will see.

I have 2 sorcerers about the same level, just short of 40. One is a vampire. She can go places and kill things he cannot. She can solo 8 man groups her own level, he cannot. He is much tougher, my tanky sorc, but she can drain whole rooms and walk out at 100%. Takes a bit of practice. ;) He has to survive the battle and can only rely on potions and regen to get his health back.

I would love to hear more about your Sorcerer build! I played a Affliction Warlock in WoW during BC, and life leech type skills have always been my favorite, so this sounds right up my alley! I miss accidentally fear aggro-ing the 2or3 times as many mobs as you meant to, and walking away at full Health and Mana. B)

I'm currently a vamp, but am looking forward to ditching it in favor of the new Night's Silence 5 pc armor set in 1.3

Vamp offers some great buffs for a stealther, but lack of a 5pc set bonus is much better than the downfalls that vampirism brings with it.

Vamp is too ugly for me in this game. I dealt with the fire and liked the skills a lot, but I couldn't stand logging in and looking at my character...

Werewolf has no benefit - the transformation is expensive (700+ ult) and slow and doesn't last long, and you only have two abilities. I barely take out a 3 person mob at my level! I've always liked the idea and chose ww over vamp in skyrim, but I haven't found one reason to stay a ww in eso. I recently did it, at v10, but I don't use it and just haven't gotten around to curing it because the poison effect hasn't hurt me too much yet. I wish there was more to it, but I haven't found it yet.

That's why I voted neither. I like the idea of supernatural beings and having pros and cons, but in their current form I don't like either one. I honestly wish I would've created my character with the intention of becoming a vamp so she wouldn't look so terrible, haha.

Yeah, I had it for a few months. Decided to drop it and picked it up again yesterday. BOY did I miss that sneak speed. Once they actually fix the Undeath Passive, it will be even better. Still worth it just for the regen and sneak speed.

My Baby. My first ever female character:

    SerafinasNumbers.jpg

The numbers change. I have a full suite of characters and half of them craft. The Enchanter gives her the ability to seriously change the numbers around. I can soft cap armor with a full 5 light 2 medium set. Depends on how much fire resist I want to run.

The fighting is great fun. She summons a Clanfear normally and I know I can target the pet but I'm used to him attacking the first thing I hit.

So 8 man group. Are we ready? I talk to my clanfear quite a bit.

If there is a healer it gets the shards,. followed by fury, that will reduce it to about half quite often. They will charge me, although the clanfear will usually grab agro from a couple including my original target. Back up killing. I have no better explanation. ;) But not too far, then go right through the group to behind the clanfear. This is golden as more will agro on the poor clanfear at this point. You should now have done enough damage to start draining the room. You can only do this once to each enemy, so you have to keep track. At this point it's all over but the clean up. Walk away at full health and stamina.

Neither. If I wanted to play either of those, I'd go play WoD.

Owait. Development for that game got cancelled AGAIN. Go figure.

    Edit:

Furthermore, it was predicted well in advance of even early access that people would flood the werewolf/vampire trees and being a normal example of your race would be "non-optimal" and therefore rejected.
Being generous and estimating low, I look around and see roughly 75% of the players in any given zone I'm traveling through/adventuring in are vampires.

If this doesn't scream imbalance, I'm not sure what does. There should be more drawbacks to being a monster, IMHO. Guards attack on sight. Vendors in towns refuse service. Damage is taken while exposed to the sun, no exceptions. As it stands, it's far too easy to negate the current weakness vamps have to fire. Make fire damage completely unresistable if you're a vampire and having the condition/disease trump the racial passive of dunmer. IE, no more dunmer race helping to cancel out the vampire weakness.
With these disadvantages in place, only the diehard twihearts would still want to be vamps.

Werewolves are practically useless as it stands now, so it's all good there.

I am not spending a single penny on the game until changes are made to the game that I want to see.
    1) Remove having to be in a guild to sell items to other players at a kiosk.
    2) Cosmetic modding for armor and clothing.
    3) Difficulty slider.
    4) Fully customizable player housing that isn't tied to anything in the game other than having the correct resources and enough gold to build. Don't tie it to PvP, guild membership, or anything at all. Oh, make it instanced so as not to take up world map space, too. Zeni screwed this one up already.
Any /one/ of these things implemented would get me spending again, maybe even subbing.

There should be more bennifits honestly, butit should be MUCH harder to get also. It should honestly be it's own class, which is only unlocked after a really long and arduous questline. Which you only get after meeting certain requirements.

That would reduce the vampire population a lot.

Can use the current in game vampire thing as the thrall rank which you need to obtain to even get the quest to obtain the vampire "class". Which can be used during character creation.

Also they need to make a Dawnguard Faction, which you can join, which has skills that while useful against regular players are intended to be OP as frack against undead and WW.

Also give WW and Vamps skills intended to be OP against everything that's not them.

Balance this and you'll have a world where the 3 factions are OP, and give players really nice options for counteracting the other factions. Basically giving the game a 3 way war (Monster war), inside of a 3 way war (Alliance war)..

    That would be awesome.

I don't see any benefit to being a werewolf and I've tried vampire it's cool for pvp but for pve Is not worth taking 50% extra fire damage, too many mobs use fire. As a sorcerer I have other abilities to keep my health bar full.

Is not a nice feeling when you get chased down by 3 goblins spitting fire, man it hurts and they appear from no where because they are so small.
