Well I'm not gonna spell it out how to play a game and be effective. Reread what I posted and consider it a given that you are playing a stamina build....
Who would play ESO with 5 stamina abilities slotted on his bar, when that 5th slot could utilize a resource pool he rarely uses (Magicka) and will give him vastly better survivability (say a damage shield, stun, or heal)??
It's not all or nothing... I've played properly balanced games with very powerful melee/stamina classes and guess what?? Those classes used a few mana(magicka)-based abilities here and there to be effective.... In fact, in most cases, those few mana-based abilities were what defined the classes.

Who would play ESO with 5 stamina abilities slotted when they would do much better with 5 magicka abilities slotted and not waste defensive resource (stamina) on attacking.
Why should one way work but not the other.

I would! Because I want to play a shield & Mace-bearing tank that can kill mobs mostly with my weapon and shield. I welcome the ability to use magicka to augment my defense!!! Whoa.. flip side huh???

Sure they are addressing it, slowly. too slowly. If they dont do what i cant repeat enough, then it will never be addressed.

Well I guess that's why they say "Patience is a virtue"... I long ago resigned myself to the fact that we are playing a paid beta... and by the looks of it that might persist until the console launch... I find it much more peaceful to look at the game in this regard... I have wanted it for over a decade and want it to succeed, so I don't mind....

I didn't pick that option. If they are going to put a way to add more magicka based abilities in the game, they should put a way to add more stamina based abilities as well.

They will address stamina abilities way before they introduce Spell-crafting.. The need is for existing abilities to be boosted/balanced... Nevertheless, Spell-crafting will allow a player to make ultimate's (which rely on stamina if it's the higher attribute) Think outside the box!
Good points but the problem is many, many MMO folks/ both PvE and PvP players self-select their fav ie does paper tiger or healer extraordinaire-- or what your guild directs you to run with based on their agreed-upon needs.Well I'm not gonna spell it out how to play a game and be effective. I don't understand what stops a bow or DW-users or whatever from equipping something that's "spell crafted"?
People get all obsessed over tiny words. Just because there's "spell" in the description doesn't mean you need a staff, Harry Potter and full light armour to use it. We don't know these things yet.
I depend on both stamina and magicka based abilities on my Templar. I'm soft-capped on both stats. Who knows, maybe one of these spell crafted skills has great synergy with my 2-hander or Sword and Board?
But ofc I would also love a crafting for stamina and mele based abilities in game.
