After Spellcrafting , What will do all those stamina based players if they are still exist?

So question is simple what will they do ?In addition , i love spellcrafting , i am not against but stamina based fights keep getting nerfs.I can't see any good things on stamina based players.So what do you think ?

They've already stated that they plan on revamping stamina-based abilities.

i do think that some of the spell crafting features might help stam or health builds... but they need to set their priority in order and balance what is already in the game..

Actually, spellcrafting is, I think, to be understood as skillcrafting.

IE : there are "spells" that cost stamina and "spells" that cost magicka. Both would be craftables.

As a Stamina build character, I'd use the new spell crafting system to make the spell that turns my Magicka into Stamina
and cackle with glee as I have a double resource pool like magicka builds do.

Taking way too long to address the stamina vs magicka issue. This should be priority #1 right now.

I think many players are like me and trying to be patient....I am playing a Magicka build alt right now because I want to run trials and be decent at pvp. My first VR12 is a Stamina based melee character. She is sitting gathering dust because I want to do things other than full-time tanking, and I refuse to put her in a dress-and-staff.

At the end of the Q&A it was asked, what spell crafting has for stamina builds. In the answer they said "We have other plans to expand on different stamina abilities."

Stamina will get its own spell-crafting-type system as well.

Did u actually see any more details like spellcrafting on quakecon ? the answer is (big biased ? ) NO!

Months have been past but stamina based players sitting on unfixed melee fights but magicka based players keep getting all awesome things.How many players did u see who is trying to use melee based on trials , dungeons ? They are all exist below 49 level.After v1 , who knows magicka based dps is better than stamina switching their builds to magicka based.

I like the idea of a meleecrafting system. Don't think I've ever seen a game with something like that.

It's the skills themselves that need to be redone. They're lackluster and expensive and except for bows they're almost all melee which is already a disadvantage. I think a damage buff to stamina skills would help but it might not be enough with spellcrafting available.

I might also use the spellcrafting system
to make myself a permanent toggle-able wolf familiar
and play a ranger
since toggle pets only drain max magicka stat
and don't scale with magicka
they would be better suited to stamina builds than to magicka builds.

I'm actually really excited for the ways in which the spellcrafting system will already help me as a Stamina user.

They have said stamina will have its own crafting as well but the way things sound it will be far in the future, I think this was a poor choice coming up with the spell side first. I imagine they started it before seeing the issue between stamina and magicka but it probabbly would have been better to come out with stamina first as that would have helped resolve this issue. To those saying they are fixing stamina, it appears they are but by how much? They haven't talked about any huge revamps as far as I have seen and have only said Medium armor reduces stamina cost go use that essentially. Other then that I have only heard about them increasing the damage of stamina abilities slightly. I like Battle Mage type builds myself using stamina and Magicka and find myself many many times simply using the Magicka side of it and neglecting the other.

The game already limits Stamina builds wrt utility (ex. try being a Stamina based Healer) and effectiveness.

With the Magicka system they have either the option to redress and rebalance Stamina vs. Magicka, or to make Stamina builds (which also currently includes WW) even more comparatively limited and disadvantaged relative to Magicka builds.

Since the system is in development currently, I would strongly recommend taking into consideration the lessons learned from the current split in playability between Stamina and Magicka builds and to use the system to bridge the gap rather than broaden it.

An alternative would be to create a complimentary system of "craftable" weapon skills or "battle tactics" (which would be Stamina Base abilities that are not weapon specific) that also serves to bridge the gap.

They said they are addressing the stam builds as its not where they want it now.
They also said that Ultimates will use which ever is highest (stam or magik) to trigger from.

In the new spellcrafting there is a spell to obtain that basically converts magik or health to Stam, like mages have already for 'magika'

Lots on the way now so lets all breathe out again now.......then go kill some NPC's

Wow i was looking for the positive option but couldn't find it. Very biased indeed.

Also yes spellcrafting is magicka based, but they will allow you to make spells that help you as a stamina build character, and having 1 or 2 abilities that are magicka based could be even positive for stamina builds, as they will have more magicka available although they are spamming abilities.

Yeah , but stamina based players don't want bad patch on stamina builds.They should really focus magicka based fights. Blades , swords , axes etc.If those are still consumes magicka why stamina is exist in the first place on this game ? Just for running ?

My Skyrim main is a rogue type character that also dabbles in conjuration, now I'll be able to do the same in ESO. Also my stam based NB is way stronger because of the last couple of patches, and with the set changes coming in update 3, I'll have close to 70% weapon crit. Stamina builds are getting there.

right! So you are saying that stamina for survive not for fighting ? So medium armour for nothing , blades , swords , dual wield abilities , 2 handed sword abilities for nothing .

I have different idea

They already stated that the Undaunted skill line is going to be revamped and expanded upon with a lot of new skills. You'll be able to work your way through dungeons and have daily quests to help you gain rank in the Undaunted skill line. The Undaunted skill line will be for stamina based users.

And, as a side note, there will be spells that will be useful for stamina based builds. I am sure that sneaky thieves will want to take advantage of muffle so they can sneak around in pvp without being easily detected.

TES lines of Magicka have always been about more than just casting mage spells.

Correct.

I play heal and tank and I am looking forward to the new system. My Tank can get more armor, more stamina regeneration and more CC and an immunity to stuns, while my Healer will be able to have a permanent pet, better AOE healing control or alternation spells to protect her.

They also fix the combat responsiveness by making it client bound and not server bound, I really don't understand what people complain about.

The current system does that and still leaves substantial disparities in the utility and playability between stamina and magicka based builds. I think the delivery of the spell crafting will add a lot to the game. As for the actual impact on Stamina vs Magicka, the devils in the details.

I do recall them saying that they have another system for Stamina abilities during the QA. It'll probably be a similar system that allows you to create abilities. It just won't be called spellcrafting because stamina abilities are not spells.

I would set it up so that you seek out the lost knowledge of ancient combat masters, and then allow you to create new techniques based on what you have found. For example, go find the tome of this Sword Saint X and then find his writings about the world.

I have nothing to say regarding the poll, but I would LOVE to see them add a Fighting Technique system whereby players can learn new combos, and new powers. Yes I said new COMBOS. Having played DCUO, STO, and a few other modern MMOS that have combos, and also having played Skyrim, I was a little surprised that ESO did not have Combo attacks. This would be an absolutely awesome way for them to make weapon combat more interesting, and a way for us to chain weapon attacks with powers.

The Dulfy distillation I saw mentioned spellcrafting being used to buff stamina/recovery. I think my Nightbow might like this spellcrafting "thang".

Meleecrafting could work. Should call it something different tho. To create new weapon abilities would be a good addition to spellcrafting.

Will they do it?........ probably WAY after spell crafting because they don't know how to NOT create imbalances some way. Or maybe they will read this stuff and be like "O crap, we almost jacked up again".

Combo system would be difficult when you only have 5 skills available at one time. Might end up with more metas and unused abilities because they dont combot "the best" or at all.

I think "meleecrafting" is including in "spellcrafting", if all our abilties (whether stam or mag based) are considered "spells".
