Its like you take your ride to a shop to customize it, you ask for a race car and you will end up with off road truck wouldn't you ask for refund?
If they introduce new gear keeping the old one it would be a different story we can not complain in fact we would be happy.

That was not the wisest course of action. But that is the thing with the Grown up world: Your choices. Your consequences.I feel your pain as well. I just literally made a Caster DPS set about 2 hours before the sets were posted for 1.3. I had upgraded everything to legendary. Made 11 pieces in total. So that is over 300k gold essentially wasted coming in a few weeks.
As others pointed out, it is still a month till PTS changes go live.
If you did this one the PTS - it is a test server. I am pretty sure you accepted this risk when installing the PTS client or starting it.
If this was not on the PTS - you get 1 month of benefit out of it. And you can expect the stuff to change with the next major update.i have played many mmos. almost all of them had points where the best in slot piece of gear became not the best in slot piece of gear. none of them have refunded for the now obsolete pieces.

You are completely incorrect on this, I have not 1 but 2 sets of legendary gear/weapons for my character but I'm not crying a river like a lot of you are. Why? Because I fully knew this was going to happen due to 90% of the server using only 2 sets.
How can the OP even claim he did not expect this, and think anyone would believe this for a second?
I am about 75% certain this was faked ignorance. And not even well faked on top of that...
My position:
It's obvious there will be no refund. There never has been in any MMO.
You have no right to it. If they do it, it would be nice. But chances are very low to non-existant because that would just be more hassle then it is worth.
It's the normal way of the MMO's that stuff changes in the eternal quest for the absolute balance.

I think you need to re-read my original post. I never claimed or faked ignorance about this, I was simply asking a question as to whether or not this was reasonable.
As I have already pointed out in this thread multiple times, the changes will actually improve the sets I use personally for my main. I just know a lot of friends in-game who are not happy with how the changes will impact their builds.
Also, I think I've pointed out a couple times in this thread that this is my first MMO. So I apologize if that makes me ignorant of how these things work, but I really don't appreciate how some in this thread have resorted to name calling as a result.Life of a Nightblade (Screenshot Tumblr)

No need to appologise because he's wrong. MMOs really never do things like this because they typically have the basics sorted out before launch. These set changes come on the back of the changes to soft caps, which is quite a huge overhaul to the entire stat system itself.
