Can't Enter Stormhaven From Character Select

One of my characters is currently unable to enter Stormhaven from the Character Select screen. My other characters can get into the game fine, but when I log in with this character, I get a very long loading screen before being kicked back out to the login screen with an 'Unknown Error' message.

Originally, while playing, I was kicked out to login with the same message just as I was approaching the Windridge Caves for the Legacy of the Three quest.

If it is one character, put a ticket in. Tell them the issues, where you are, what character is having the problem and ask they move the character. I've had issues like that in Stormhaven and they moved my character within 30 minutes of ticket submission. Everything was fine after they moved the character.

I also had this issue today and had my character moved. Do not go back to finish the quest. I did, the NPC was not able to be interacted with again, and even though I moved out and away from the cave.. I logged out and am now stuck waiting for the support team to email me back saying my character is moved. (Fortunately they were very quick last time, hopefully they are again) Even though I see this quest mentioned in the last patch notes (and all other threads about this are from May) it seems to still be bugged.

Windridge Cave is specific place on which fps drops down and relog should be avoided inside.
Had same issue few days ago with drop of fps and log out myself inside the cave to realize later on that can not log in.
Character selection was available.
Made few attempts with account error message and finally reset computer and booted fresh game.
Waited few minutes after restart to be loaded in place of log out.
Hope this helps anyone.

Confirmed - heavy FPS issues in Windridge Cave and cannot re-enter the game. Sort it out Zenimax.

EDIT: my character is named Ouirdeaux.

I was running 10 fps in windridge, down from 60+ outside. Major stuttering as well. Rebooted computer. Could not log that character back in, all other characters fine. After several GAME reboots, was finally able to get back in. FPS issues are absolutely HORRIBLE in the caves.

Holy sweet Jesus. As soon as I logged, I hightailed it out to avoid any potential issues again. When I got outside, I checked core temp for giggles. All of my cpu temps spiked to 87 DEGREES. They have NEVER gone above 62. Major issues here.

We're currently looking into the login and FPS issues being reported around Stormhaven and Windridge Cavern. In the meantime, we want to make sure you can play on whichever character you want! We're going to go through and create tickets for everyone who's commented in this thread to say they're encountering this issue, so that our GMs can manually move your character to a safe location (feel free to edit your post here with the name of your affected character(s), so that our GMs can more quickly assist you).

This is the FIRST time since launch I could not log in after more then a few attempts. And I am in Stormhaven and Windridge Cavern.

Add me to the list. Tried entering that cave for a quest, at some point I must have lost connection because I couldn't interact and my pets wouldn't follow, booted to login with unknown error, cannot log that character back on due to unknown error.

Character is Uryens Erellont.

The same happened to me just now, cant log back in, getting Unknown Error message, however i didn't experience fps drop, just something like a very long lag, where i couldn't interact with the NPC inside the cave, and skills didn't work.

Character's name is Cal D'aerthe

Yeah I didn't notice any FPS issues, I simply lost connection outside the cave but it didn't boot me to login screen until about a minute later.

I just submitted a help message to you guys, but I am experiencing this issue at Windridge Cavern as well.. can you please move me. Also, should I assume that I can't go back there to continue questing? I had no FPS problems.. just couldn't enter the cave..

My character, Katarin of the Storm is not near the Windridge Cavern, but is in Stormhaven and cannot log in. I submitted a ticket last night, but I don't remember the number.

My character named Masokur is in the same situation. I couldn't interact with anything around Windridge Cavern so I unsuccessfully attempted to logout a couple of times before forcing a quit, now I can't get back in on that character.

Same thing happened to my baby Templar named "Please Dont Nerf Me" (NOTE to gm: *NOT* the one with the apostrophe on my account, the Templar is the character stuck

!). Please rescue him and put him in Daggerfall in Glenumbra, . Thanks!

EDIT to note: I did make an ingame ticket regarding this.

HI,

My Character is :
- Merlin The great lvl 22 Sorcerer
- location : Stormhaven

Every time I try to play on this Character I have the "an unknown error has occurred" and I'm put back at the login/password screen.
FYI : only got the problem on this specific character, all other are ok.
Addon enabled or not did not change anything.

Thanks to have a GM to put this character in a safe place asap.
