Wormwood! ... Nope, just worms.

It'd be slightly less annoying if the worms actually DID something, rather than being a pre-requisite for the most pointless activity in the game;fishing. After collecting enough of this worthless rubbish for it to start having an impact on my already meagre inventory space I decided to try and use them for something.

After running through the same cycle 50 times in a row (NOT an exaggeration, I actually went through the entire stack in my inventory) of cast, wait, have your line snap and get nothing, cast, wait, have your line snap and get nothing, etc, I vowed never to let any of them taint my storage again, only to be offered them as an alternative to the Columbine I tried to collect on the next three occasions. And yes, I was using the right bait for the right waterway, before anyone chips in with that little gem...

Can somebody write an add-on to substitute these worms for a piece of parchment with the words '[snip] You, Buddy!' written on it, because at least it'd be a more honest approach....

I'd like to see bait become an entirely separate node all together.
Let Alchemy nodes be Alchemy ingredients.
Mark bait nodes with a little mound of dirt that can be harvested with a digging animation.

It's not inconsiderate but it is an annoyance (maybe). The person who got to it first did not want the worms/crawdads and didn't want to take them anyway only to then have to go and open their inventory, click on them and select "destroy". I do this all the time (not take the worms) so I am one of the "offenders" and no amount of bitching is going to make me stop. We have to deal with too many annoyances in this game as it is and if I can reduce them by one, then I will. And for all I know, the next person to come along may want those worms/crawdads/crawlers.

/feedback the change you want and move on.

It's not that big a deal. The OP even says "5 an hour" which only proves how little of an irritant it is.

That's a matter of opinion. My opinion is that it is annoying enough to do something about it. It might not happen a ton, but there are other annoyances in this game as well. Why not get rid of one of them?

Can I refer you back to the bit of my post that you snipped out?

Maybe they should make bait nodes near water sources . So if you want to fish you can dig up the worms separate from the plants or have the worms become a 'special' ingredient which boosts the effects of the potions and make them a rare find :\ .. That would actually be pretty cool . Bet people would quit leaving them behind ;) ! To be honest about the topic, this whole time I just thought the no plant thing was a spawning bug :s . Oh well stopped a lot of grief , but not any more >:) !

I always take everything from a node and when my inventory starts to get full i simply destroy the worms. Takes all but 2 seconds.

Oh, but you can change it. That's what these forums are for. Somebody even said that they are thinking about changing this very thing.

Everyone's tendency to argue against changes that would have absolutely no negative effect on any one player or the game in general amazes me. So nodes vanish after you loot them and leave worms. You don't get the worms that you forfeit and no other plays spend time looting it just to not get what they came for. Who possibly loses in that situation? Seriously.

Um, it is inconsiderate, you are not considering the next player to find the node.

I fish so don't mind when there is only a worm left.
  • mad.ferretb16_ESO
Personally I take the worms and leave the rest.

They could fix it by removing worms from the nodes or just make them auto respawn wether or not they've been looted.

Just make 'Remove all' the only option on crafting nodes. Problem solved.

Yes, as I said earlier it if they can't get the nodes to respawn when the alchemy mnats are harvested, then it needs to be all or nothing.

Why not ask them to stop packing them in with plants? To many people don't want them. If they did. This thread would be unnecessary, because everyone would be like, oh snap, a worm!

Please stop packing in crawdads and worms with alchemy nodes.

Or, another way would be to take out the 'just loot what you want' option and then the idiots leaving stuff in the plants would go get the 'junkyard' addon (etc).
