Not worth playing? It's still one of the best RPGs ever made.Blackwidow wrote: »
Exactly! I love stuff like this. I love my Fallout 3 metal lunch box, my replica Normandy, my Molag Bal statue, and my Baldur's Gate II collector cards. It's fun every once in a while!
I am jealous of your Baldur's Gate II cards. Brings back fond memories. I should finish that game.
So not worth playing now. Trust me.
Try "Divinity: Original Sin".

I just downloaded the super game of the year edition, a few weeks ago, with all "new" graphics and everything. It is just not the same.
Sorry, but that game is just no good anymore. It had it's day. I loved it back then. But just like M 59, UO, EQ, and other games from the 90's, they are crap games now.
Let me put it this way, it might be good for nostalgia, but that is about it.
If you never played it and picked it up today, you would laugh at how bad it is.
So no one has asked if this so called "guar" is just a scuttler? I think some people are going to be mad if they enter the code and find out it was something they already had.

I bought the 64-bit version, both games with expansions just over a year ago, not even the 'super' version.
Admittedly, when I first loaded the game I had a "what have I done" moment as. of course. the graphics are dated to hell. But within 10-15 minutes, I was immersed enough in the story and characters to let my imagination fill in the gaps exposed by a 1990s game engine.
Not only did I love them, I think I had even more appreciation of the original BG than I did 16 years ago.
On topic: I don't do soft toys, but even with the $16 dollar shipping on top, this doesn't seem like an outrageous price for cute memorabilia.
I'm young and wasn't much of a gamer until recently anyway. I picked up the 90s classics for the first time 2-3 years ago. I loved them. The first moments were a little shocking, I admit - especially because I started with the first BG. This one really needed an overhaul, BG Trilogy helped. But I persisted and very soon I was having a lot of fun. The graphics are dated, but I think the gameplay and story aged well. However, I see how it might be different for someone who played them all those years ago; nostalgia-colored glasses followed by disappointment, it could happen. I had no expectations.Blackwidow wrote: »Not worth playing? It's still one of the best RPGs ever made.Blackwidow wrote: »
