What does it matter you solo Vet BC naked while standing in fire using your bare hands to fight anyway right?

    Really ???

@NerfEverything How is this different from what you said?

Your comment sounded even more selfish, at least the other way people would have a choice !

Because playing games is supposed to be about having fun. I can't speak for Craglorn as my highest character is 36 but I am fairly sure Zenimax wants people to do the content they created, as in the trials or whatever they are called, and NOT farm the same enemy for hours and hours and hours. As someone who has done that exact thing [but frankly as part of a character build, long story short, Virtues....Gah] I can tell you farming mobs for hours on end is friggin boring. Like rather watch paint dry boring.

Unless of course those people enjoy doing that ! In which case why shouldn't they be allowed to do it ???

Rather than clip out the only words you want from my previous comment, try reading it all. FYI, in nearly 8 and a half years on the game I referred to I can guarantee 95% of the people I could ask, about "mob farming" as we grew accustomed to calling it would happily admit to HATING it. And preferred to do group content or quest content over "mob farming". No one who farms anomalies on ESO will do it out of enjoyment, rather because it gets them to vr12 quicker. Just so you know, I am not saying players should not do what they want but don't confuse perceived necessity [37k is a lot of xp] for actual enjoyment.

For me having already gone to V12, finishing Cadwell's Gold, getting all the skyshards in the game, finishing every group, public and solo dungeon, getting all the public dungeon achievements .. Anomaly farming is much more fun on alts than repeating those quests again for the third time. At least you are with other people, you get a chance at some good loot and it isn't boring solo play hearing the same story over and over.

I already did the two alliances I didn't choose in beta, then again on my main, then again on an alt and now on a third alt it is far more boring than just grinding honeslty.

Because as you stated yourself, you can't comment on Craglorn because you haven't gotten there yet. And in the latter part of your comment you were referring to a personal opinion. Just because 'you' find it boring does not mean other people would !

    Also you just stated -
"No one who farms anomalies on ESO will do it out of enjoyment, rather because it gets them to vr12 quicker."

And your proof for that statement comes from where exactly? Again... in your opinion !

Fun is; Doing something incredible and hilarious which plaster's a smile from ear to ear. Truth be told, only really good games manage true fun nowadays, gone are the days of retro gaming except for nostalgia's sake.

Personal opinion? No, not really opinion as what I said about was near as possible to what the actuality would be. Asides, you cant claim its my opinion as you likely never played the game I was talking about. As for the anomalies thing. My proof is 37ks worth of proof. Is that not enough. Next you will say and expect me to believe you that many who DO still farm anomalies are NOT after the xp. Where only those who can no longer get xp would, and why would they? No, the anomalies are farmed for xp.

Fun is fun to whoever's doing something they find fun.

Fun to them may not be fun to you and vice versa.

Get it through your heads that what you like is what YOU like, because YOU like it.

Yea, I can understand that. Been there, done that, in other games. I think you only do it because on the whole there is not enough actual content yet. What ESO needs is a lot more content, enough so that you CANT do it all on one character. I also feel their decision to make it so you can do other alliance regions on the same character was a mistake.

For the PvE players here who subscribed based on the fabulous original vision and creativity that ZOS advertised and promoted heavily pre- launch where Vet content would be grouping centric-focused - well, thats become a take-back.

The veteran content was actually advertised to cater for both solo and group, in fact it's right on this page:

    http://www.elderscrollsonline.com/en-gb/news/post/2014/03/26/esos-veteran-content

Craglorn on the other hand, was advertised to be group focused but does it work as well as it looks on paper? Are there scores of people actually grouping for quests and dungeons or is the idea of having a tank, healer and two dps ready before you can "really" experience the area how it was meant to be played a lost cause?

All you need to do to find the answer to those questions is look at how many people were crowded around anomalies pre nerf. I doubt hardly any of them were interested in grouping up for any of the 4 man content and the ones that were probably had trouble finding 3 other people of specific roles interested in doing the same.

It would have been oh so better if Craglorn was only accessible to VR10 when they brought it in. You wouldn't have half the amount of VR12's running around now, myself included, and you wouldn't have felt it necessary to grind there to level up so quickly.

Everyone would have been in the same boat then, no one could complain and VR content wouldn't have been a ghostown which meant they wouldn't have had to nerf VR content.

Grindlorn never worked the way it was intended and we have both ourselves and ZOS to blame for that equally.
Been here since Feb 2014 - You'd think I'd be half reasonable at this game by now...

Then again, ZOS should have known it was going to happen considering the fact they had to nerf delve bosses and delve grinding. Well after the cat was out of the bag.

"You can run dungeons as many times as you want each day! no limit! No lockout! Go in, kill, and the mobs will be back soon, fresh, for another group, who you can meet up with and help!"

"Oh... uhm. Folks were camping the spawn points and AOEing everything down instead of questing? Our bad. NERF!"

    Then a little bit later...

"Oh, hey, guys! New groupable V10+ content! V11 and V12 mobs and delves!"

"... wait, nobody's really running the quests? They're just making groups of 20+ people and running from anomaly to anomaly, waiting for them to respawn? And they have so many folks they can get there safely as a V1 just out of the main storyline, bypassing Cadwell's Silver and Gold? Ooops..."

There are plenty of people in Craglorn: just not at the anomalies. And the faster they get those people away from grinding, the faster everyone can start doing the actual content instead of farming the same spot for hours on end.

    and the sooner I can get my ALT char to VR12; the sooner I will stop grinding and I dunno you about but;
I *have* all the crag achievements done on my main, all shards, all dungeons and all quests and I am in trials nightly.
So I DO play in crag ON MY VR12 - not on my vr4 who will get skinned alive.

I grind in CL every night in either an anomaly or burial group. The numbers seemed to have dropped after the nerf to the vet levels as more people are willing to go back and work on Cadwell's silver/gold. I'm guessing people will be back soon as they either finish and get tired of the slow XP progress.
