Yes, I'd like to see an official answer too. Perhaps even a whole sticky thread about the mods which are OK.

Without that fog, the difference is like night and day!

This is not quite the Right Place to ask, but it is propably the next best. This is the Forum for Addons and UI Mods - things that use the Addon Folder.

That mod is clearly a third party tool, so it is out of Zenimax's definition of Addon/UI Mod (propably). That being said Third party tools are not inherently forbidden, as long as:
You agree not to use any hardware or software or any other method of support that is not authorized by ZeniMax or that may in any way influence or advantage Your playing abilities, or influence or advantage Your use of the Services. Third party tools, the use of ‘bots’, “speed hacks”, “deep-link”, “page-scrape”, “robot”, “spider”, algorithm or other programs that copy or monitor any part of the Services (including, but not limited to, the Game(s) and/or forums).

The increased Field Of View and Draw Distance would propably be the most critical. Followed by removing the Fog depending on how the game works, each of those cases could make it easier for you to spot other players on range.
If it does not affect how you see other players or events (like Fortress under Attack in Cyrodyl) it is propably okay.

Somebody asked a similar question about a Russian Translation Addon:

    No answer there yet either.

Thx for the answer. The big point of all, to me, its about remove the fog.
I'm using SweetFX, what zenimax told me by email is allowed, and the only thing on ESO Launcher what I want is remove the fog.

Has any programmer taken it apart to check for user and password hooks/logs ect?
If real life had a block function i would go out more.

Proud to have spent a year paying to BETA test ESO for consoles.

I have run it while also having Wireshark going and have not seen any pings going anywhere outside of Zenimax, so it's probably safe. That being said, the majority of the functionality is native-compiled in C++ or C, so I can't see it. The guy also flat-out refuses to publish his code anywhere because he's paranoid of ... something.

And that is precisely why we refused to allow it on our site. He absolutely would not let us look at his source code and without that it wasn't going up on our site.

I'm not saying that it is malicious. It probably is absolutely fine. I'm just saying that without being able to verify by checking the source code, it won't be on our site.

Not to necro or anything, but to correct @zgrssd - the fog and draw distance has nothing to do with player rez distance, which is what the in-game slider controls. This mod does not touch that and only shows more scenery, not more players.
