Is Firey Chains even worth it now

Just ditch the conflabit ability and give Ardent flame another ability

The chain wasn't great to begin with. Made for some fun by screwing with people but, ultimately, it's never been a good skill for anything but screwing with people. Having it no longer work at any angle just made me never even look at it again. It was just lazy game design. It was clearly easier to just remove the Z-axis to "fix" the problem of exploitation than it was for them to be good at their job and prevent it from pulling players in situations it shouldn't be able to.

It's a clear message from developer to consumer that says, "I take no pride in my work."

Except it's not inline, and never was inline. Bolt Esacpe and Teleport Strike aren't trash damage projectiles that if blocked negates the attempted gap closer or if rejected sends the junk damage back at the caster and inverts the effect. The chain was cute at best before, now that you can't use it against a guy two steps higher than you (literally two steps up no exaggeration) on the same stairs you're standing on, even though he can Bolt Escape or Teleport Strike right on up them all day long.

It's incompetent game design. But my feelings are the skill wasn't great to begin with, so it's really not that big of a deal. They already spilled the milk, them peeing on it too isn't really changing much in the grand scheme.

basically my feelings, but I get immersed in my characters some times. In this case, FC wasn't anything that actually fit my character (IMO), but it was still a fun utility mechanic to mess with. Now I can move on with out it, but I will always look back and say I miss it

Yes, it's good for PVP and PVE

I wish they would nerf reflective scales already. I am so sick of all the DK whining about nothing. I guess that's what happens when you've been the OP flavor of the month for 3 months...nothing substantial to actually complain about.

.....that has nothing to do with Fiery Chains, and that assumption is very disrespectfull, if you don't have a problem with it thats fine, but it's very rude to assume that it's "nothing substantial"

This poll is another proof that people judge without knowing anything about the argument.
I'm pretty sure a lot of people that voted yes don't know that now the skill is useless and just think "hurr durr derp nerf dragonknight"

No, Change it back please

Completely useless in PvP now since there are much better gap closers. I'd say its pretty near-to-useless in PvE as well.

Dude, you whine more than anyone else in these forums. Get over the fact that your Templar isn't the strongest class in the game. It will be soon enough.....not that it will stop your whining.

Maybe you should just get better at timing your shots or use skills that can't be reflected. I deal with RS users just fine, and I use a bow. Me thinks you should increase your effectiveness before calling to decrease something else's effectiveness.

Don't want to change your play style? By all means. But just FYI, "bad" is not a viable play style. Adapt or die.
