Cyrodiil map no mapmarkers?

Is it just me or is the ingame map designed to show only forts and covenants places?
I keep discovering places, caves, mines, ruins, stones, villages... I get the usual drumroll "you've discovered TADA!.." but nothing ever shows on my map - which sums up to not having located anything since I can't remember what was where...

✭✭✭✭✭Open cyrodiil map. In the top right of your screen, there is a 'filters' button. Click it. You will see a number of checkboxes. The first one says 'objectives'. Check it. Now you can see the map markers.
This is disabled by default in cyrodiil because the clutter makes things like conflict indicators harder to spot.4 -
