Do you want campfires in game?

I would love to see campfires in game, they could improve the role playing experience for a lot of players. They could also possibly be used as another provisioning station, and could be created using a fire lighter (a misc item), the same way we can place the bear trap toy anywhere we want. Obviously there would be a timer on it and also an area cap on it to stop people spamming it.

Not something i see any use for myself.

So i would vote for a , "i dont care either way option".

Still , if people want it , i dont see why not.

There are already tons of campfires in game all over the place, that also work as provisioning stations.

Unless you mean you want to make your own campfires.

That's a good suggestion, or say if you go near a campfire you get 30 minutes of extra xp or something. It could bring a lot to the social aspect.

Of course. I would love to see a group of enemies sitting around a campfire in cyrodiil at nighttime, unaware they are about to be ambushed!

Actually there isn't that many campfires all over. Sometimes I need to make some food and can't find a place to cook. There are many fake fires that you can't use to cook. Sometimes I have to run around and try to find an inn. A portal campfire is a nice idea. It could be placeable like many things in pvp. I would like this but don't see it happening soon. Please fix bugs before content. There are to many!

being able to place campfires down works well in more then just Roleplay or provisioning, back in the wow days i used to leave fire around to attract the enemy attention to keep them distracted while me and several other people would ambush them looking for "easy kills" since they know campfires = player placed
PLEASE REPLY TO ME WITH @dsalter otherwise i'm likely to miss the reply if its not my own thread

I don't "want" them. Though I really couldn't care less if they put them in.

Yes, but just like the bear trap toy, it needs to not take up inventory space.

All these neat items stuck in the bank, so I don't waste bag space.

would be a nice lil fluff piece but I agree with @Blackwidow‌ about inventory space concerns. would hate to see my campfire parked next to my fishing trophies, that wand, questionable meat sack, etc

everything, even the smallest thing that may increase immersion is welcome. in fact I hope, that maybe one day, with an expansion, they will release full weather-seasons add that will expand on our clothing and gear. I do not think about totally drastic change like hypothermia mod from Skyrim bit little bits would be good.

That is just a random encounter.

He means an item that can set down a campfire anywhere. (outside the city I hope)

You won't forced to use them and then stare at them all day long.

They would be for cooking and roleplaying.

No, I do not want this. The world has safe areas. The rest of the world is dangerous unless you have made some in-character actions to create a few more safe areas. If you want to log out, log out in a safe area. I like the realism of that.

I would like to see things like guild housing and perhaps a rested bonus for logging out after paying an innkeeper for a room. But building your own camps was never an idea that seemed anything more than a player cookie in other MMOs and a very meta mechanic. I like that ESO has dismantled a great deal of meta mechanics, such as a server-wide auction house.

could also be used for sharing food

increased stam/magicka/health regen when resting near a campfire

Arrows shot while near a campfire will do fire damage.

and all sorts of neat ways it can go if they decide to add campfire

There are plenty of campfires littered around in the game already. There doesn't need to be more of them. However, I'm not opposed to having the ability to light them.

There's the random campfire with 2 NPCs fighting which you in turn can light and resolve the conflict, much like the random NPC conjurer summoning Daedra or the bandits attacking a travelling horsemen.

I wouldn't mind seeing more random events.. But spontaneous camp fires? I don't know.

Question was "Do you want Campfires in this game", I personally am not interested, therefore can't say I want them.

If you ask if we want something people are going to say they don't, it doesn't mean they don't want anyone else to have it (although some don't), but merely that they don't want it themselves.

If you don't want this kind of response don't ask if we "WANT" it, ask if it should be introduced.

Yes it would be nice, I was doing a guild event and we were standing around and I thought it would be nice if we had a campfire to put where you want.
