Basically I understand 100%. That armor is Fugly and should never have even been added to the game. How such an ugly armor set (Which is supposed to be highest level motif and an Iconic armor) got past QA in it's current form....
I have no idea, but the entire Fan base wants the guy who designed it and thought it was a good idea, fired for incompetence.

I am surprised to even get a response like this. Love it.
The summon toggle did indeed remind me of shredder! Only more disco.
I AM talking about the sorc skill, basically the same as daedric motif armor but silver. Re-read your post and It sounds like you're talking about the actual armor
which I also agree is fugly.
I think they should update the way it looks for sure and that it should be different depending on the morph but I can't say that I think it should be a toggle.
It just wouldn't be an elder scrolls spell if you could, you are literally conjuring armor from oblivion and wearing it so it is physical armor.
Maybe make scrolls or glyphs or something that allows you to change how it looks or the plane of oblivion that it comes from (so you could pull from deadlands instead of colharbor style giving it a redish style instead of cold steel)

That's a creative idea. I'd personally rather have an aura effect. In oblivion the summoned daedric gear did look like physical items.
In Skyrim they went with these purple opaque aura type items,
What do you mean it shouldn't be a toggle? It's a summoning toggle. Do you mean you don't think the visuals should be toggled? I agree with that It should have a static visual que.
However it is not a costume therefore I have issues with it acting like one.

(though ES hasn't been following this very well since after morrowind)
They should've just made it a holographic-like overlay on top of whatever you're wearing - transparent so you can still see your own armor, but magicky-enough to make sense.
