Cyrodiil/PvP FPS Issues: YOU WILL LOSE SUBS IF THIS IS NOT FIXED

As big of an issue as this FPS issue is I feel like ZOS has been way, way too slow about dealing with it. This should be the absolute top of their to-do list right now. It's been around way too long and the longer it goes on the more faith people will lose in ZOS. They should have just rolled back the patch. Or better yet postponed it until it was truly ready and had been properly QA tested. This has done much more damage to the playerbase's confidence in ZOS than them simply delaying a major patch or rolling back would have.

I for one will not wait until the 14th. If this is not fixed earlier i am gone. i have been frustrated enough and can't even play 5 min of pvp without getting a slideshow. I have lost half of my paid gametime and will not donate another $15 for a patch that may or may not fix the problem. screw that

Right, so then let them do the opposite and have the game sink. Brilliant buddy

Yeah, I have control because I am a customer. I am voicing my concerns and letting Zenimax know that my opinion is shared by many. If it is not fixed they will be losing money from many people, including myself. The game would be nothing if not for its customers.

@ZOS_AlvinM‌ @ZOS_JessicaFolsom‌ So what you are saying is that the fix isnt going into the Monday patch as scheduled? If that's the case Im done as well this is so ridiculous. The fact that this is still live is totally unprofessional and will only lead to the games downfall in the end.

GAME BREAKING BUGS SHOULD NEVER REMAIN LIVE FOR THIS LONG UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!

Then go apply to ZoS as a software engineer so that you (they) can have all bugs fixed in a week because you are so awesome ;)
  • simontheriault1b16_ESO
Yep, you're going to be right: either they push an unready patch and lose 100 more customers or lose YOUR customership.
If I was ZOS it wouldn't be a hard choice...

So, say you were a software developer. You earned your money from selling your software. Now your product is so buggy, your customers can barely use it.
If they demanded you to fix the software within a given time, you would just ignore them and risk losing them forever? And with them the money you need to live?

    Hard to believe.

You should have rolled back to the previous patch imeadeatly after finding major issues with a patch that did NOTHING but "Upgrade" some graphics.

If you don't fix or roll back this patch MUCH sooner than "maby" the 14th I for one will not be here anylonger

They didn't have a problem pushing the other unready patch. And I'm the only customer they're going to be losing? Lol there's at least 234 people being represented in this thread that are unsubbing because of this

That said, we do require that all posts on the ESO forums stay in line with our Code of Conduct, which does not allow demands. As such, we have removed the word "Ultimatum" from the title of this thread. In addition, we'd like to remind everyone to please keep their posts civil and on topic.

We can argue about it all evening. I will be happy for you if it has worked. I just don't really have faith in ultimatums. I predict that you will be ready to unsub tomorrow.

I agree that something must be done. I don't trust other customers as myself to put realistic deadlines. Since I'm not on the development team nor an expert on game coding, I doubt I know things better than the active development team.

I agree that bugs sucks. I was swearing in front of bugs straight this afternoon. My point was we just need to be a little bit more patient and let the guys do their work. I'm sure they haven't bugged the game on purpose and they are not happy with what happened either.

There's a difference between having patience and paying for something that doesn't work. I'll have patience up until my sub runs out, which is the 16th. Unfortunately, there are people who's subs are up before they plan on releasing the fix that may or may not even fix the problem. Hopefully Zenimax will do something to compensate us for time lost, time that we paid for, or pvp may become completely unpopulated.

It also doesn't help that Zenimax isn't informing us on what is actually going on, just ensuring us that the problem is being worked on. With people already losing faith them not keeping us completely up to date on what is actually going on doesn't help

I'm sure ZOS is aware of the situation. They gave 3 free days close to the release for inconvenience.

ZOS will fix the FPS issue when they have a fix for it. They have to make the call on when they are willing to push out the patch for it and at what level of confidence they have that the patch will fix the issue.

The issue here is not the trash can community. Is that they actually listen to them and rush untested/broken patches. I mean, who the hell would patch something that might break the game just because some people are asking on the forums? That's moronic.

Not much more to do once you hit max level. You can only repeat the same content over and again without getting anything worthwhile from the content you run. That pretty much leaves PVP, completing achievements or rolling an alt.

They already did that without community pressure. It seems like they don't playtest any of their patches. They don't playtest any balances they make. They make the game worse with every patch. You can't break the game any more than it is now so might as well push out a patch and see if it works, like they've been doing

actually it is both. on the one side is the community demanding patches for various "issues" and on the other side a developer pushing out poorly tested patches for those issues . which leads to the pattern alluded to by the person I first quoted which is common in all MMO's the only difference is in how much Q&A testing is done on each patch before it is pushed out to the games live servers .

Will not wait another week for this mess. I have no faith in Zenimax at all anymore. It is not only the fps issue(granted for me its a big deal), but also the 'weapon swap bug', the 'I got stuck and can no longer move bug', the 'I am pressing my ability buttons 1-5 and nothing happens till I open my inventory' bug. Obviously the need for fancy lights that shine though completely boarded up windows were a higher priority than bugs that make the game a clunky mess to play.

Frankly I would have been perfectly happy to pvp till more pve content and fixes are put in place...but now that the fps problem has taken all joy out of pvp I see no reason to log in/continue my sub to this game. Maybe the time is now to suspend billing or just give us a free month? I don't think that's much to ask and plenty of other game companies have done so for lesser issues.
