@ OP - Mostly it is because I enjoyed their take on end-game. I liked the idea of being challenged to try different weapon and ability combinations to overcome an obstacle that previously thwarted me. It felt sort of like one of those card-based strategy games where you need to shuffle your ability deck to trump the opponents unique capabilities.

Perhaps in the long term what they will do is make two phases of veteran content, much like they have regular dungeons and veteran dungeons, and let the player decide which they want to play in. Each would have all the people who chose that mode at that time, and each would have its own unique balance and rewards.

In retrospect I don't think they will mess things up too badly.

I do hope these changes end up bringing more cool people back to the game.

For those who are seriously hating the VR changes, before we even know the extent of those changes, why are you hating them? Is it because you are intending to take more characters through the content and it will be too easy for you, which it would be anyway since you have already done it before, or is because it devalues your past accomplishments?

I would have imagined you already have the characters you want past VR10 now.

I dont hate the change, but Im not sure its a wise decision.
I like the fact that that a fight with three npcs in VR is a near death experience. It should be.
Im at rank 4, playing a stamina melee build.
With a few more tweaks to stamina melee that is desperately needs the content will be easier across the board and hence the problem is solved for these builds. I dont think alot of destro/resto/light armour are complaining much.
I've yet to see the rank 6 enemies and theyre supposed to be even tougher, so I might be talking out of my ass.
Attention Zenimax: Stamina builds don't hold up to magicka builds, and this is causing most of your class imbalance. It makes melee weapons and bows weaker than staves and class abilities. It makes medium and heavy armor less desirable than light armor. Fix this imbalance, and you'll address most of your balance issues.

In principal that's fine. But when you meet 1 group of 3-4 then another and another and another... It suddenly gets tedious. I don't mind risking my character dying but it shouldn't be a forgone conclusion all the time either !

    :O

High Elf Sorcerer VR12 - Destro / Resto Staff
I'm a werewolf. If you vamps don't like it.... Bite me !
We're not retreating... we're advancing in a different direction !

That doesn't happen though. I have never come across a quest area yet that doesn't have singles, pairs and groups of three as an option.

ETA: And just where are these (imaginary?) groups of four?

Edit 2: LOL if you are seriously picking off a summoned creature before killing its master. Tip: The summoned mob dies with its master.
