Respec - what happens to research in progress?

Hi, when I do a skill point reset at a rededication shrine, what happens to my current item research? I have 3 items for each craft under research and they have been for 3 weeks (1 week left). Will the research continue or what will happen? Thanks.

YOu could test this on the PTS. Just make a craglorn character and research one of your items, then go respec.

Well, I can reply to myself in case someone else needs this answer. I've just respeced and all 9 items are still being researched.

EDIT: It wasn't on a test server, it was the real thing.

To clarify: I had 1 research slot as soon as I reset the skill points. But that was expected. I was only worried about losing the items being under research or losing the progress on the research. None of those things happened.

I can confirm also, if you have 3 items on research and say, respec and "loose" all perks in clothing, they will still finish researching.

Not only will they finish researching, the research times will not be affected either. It won't go back and add the extra x% that is removed from time with the skill points.

As you have already discovered, it is fine - the items you are already researching will continue to be researched. Just that if you don't put points back into metallurgy (or similar skill for one of the other crafts), then when those have finished you will only be able to research 1 item at a time, until such time as you put points back into that research skill.

Sorry that I didn't see this earlier, I would have liked to be able to spare you from that feeling of anxiety when stood in front of the respec shrine!
