The worst part is that most of the people who are playing at a slower pace are probably the ones who would love the harder difficulty, but those people haven't even had time to enjoy it before it gets hit with that nerf stick.

Bunch of cry babies throw a tantrum and get ZOS to change their vision, it's not going to be a good change, you watch, those same people crying about VR content will be back crying that there's nothing to do after they steam roll VR1-12 in a couple days. Then it's back to dueling in some hidden corner of Cyrodiil and complaining on the forums.

    Completely agree with you.

I was actually supporting the idea to nerf veteran difficulty, but not at the expense of my own difficulty, I prefer it stay this way.

Why is it so hard to just include 2 options normal / hard is beyond me.

Just to remember you guys, @Zenimax said will be middle, not a complete difficult nerf.

We need to check how will be adjust and remember many of us don't use forum and can send feedback by e-mail or in-game

I believe ZO will pull the Blizzard on us. Hard = 20 men groups or 12 for that matter. Easy = everything else.

That however not everyone is interested in large groups might not be known to them. I wish they would have added NPC´s that players could rent so if someone felt it was to hard, he or she could rent one and have it easier. I even would support a VR 12 char in the shop so that they can shop to success - I really wouldn't care. But what I care about is my personal fun in that game and right now I see that in great danger.

I am already afraid of the day when I log on with my healer and am told "you are useless now" but go DPS for more AOE...

In my opinion to have something like VR´s was refreshing and helpful as it build a nice cosy community. I met and spoke to more people in the past three months than in the last three years at WOW. This says a lot about what too easy content can do to people.

I really hope they are holding some awesome solo / small group open world content back, else this could be a very sad summer for these type of players.

Holy crap that's an AMAZING idea! Name one of them Lydia and spread them around the taverns.

I would probably not use one, but it's great for the people who think VR is too hard.

There is this little command thing in the game called /feedback. Every single player in the game has access to this and ZoS encourages it. I love how you guys try to say that the forum represents a very small% of the player base when it suits your purpose, but when it's something you disagree with... well then ZoS is caving to the vocal minority... Okay.

They are making the Vet levels easier. But for those who like it hard, there is a new hard-code mode too.

You start off as a L1 templar, but you only have a sword and board and heavy armor. You can never use any other weapon type or armour and at L15, you do get a weapon swap, but its just another sword and board (you still get the extra 'skill slots' tho).

Leveling from 1 to V12 with only ever using a sword and board with heavy armor....hard-code mode (doable tho)

I voted yes. This might be due to myself picking a 2h heavy armor melee character but I find vet zones to be a pain in the arse.

I am getting through them at a reasonable rate (tiniest bit shy of VR5) but I am beginning to find it tedious and more annoying than fun.

I think the problem is that bumping up mobs HP and dmg stats is not a fun way to improve difficulty. As others have stated, if mobs had new abilities which required new strategies it might feel more like they are worth the effort. At present though, I don't. I feel annoyed and bored instead of challenged and excited.

I found 1-50 exceedingly easy, VR 1-3 as "OK", VR 4 hard - not because of real difficulty but because of armor ignore. They have just to fix that.
It's just dumb that wearing cloth has the same consequences of wearing plate, I had to ditch my "plate battle mage" because whereas plate killed my magic DPS, it provided like 5% more protection than using pure cloth with ZERO +armor spells (so, those too become pointless).

Fixed that, imo the game would be just fine.

Past VR 6 I found the game became easier again and just fine.

No need to nerf anything into the oblivion just to tweak the asinine armor reduction skills from mobs (in groups of 3 they tend to hurt who can't AoE them to death fast).

No, it's not hard. Compared to what's been there in other MMOs in the past, it's barely average.

It's a pity that now there's a lot of bad players with (not only) L2P issues who unfortunately also have a massive allergy to grouping up in a multiplayer game, and they find it hard.... Group up or shut up, so simple.

I don't know what ZOS did but my vr12 sorc all of a sudden has problems with vr7 groups of mobs. A month ago 3 mobs wasn't a problem. Now though, my vr12 sorc doesn't last past 4 hits before she's dead.

Trash should not two shot you when they blindside you.

One or two shot deaths is fine for bosses, not regular trash.

Do you have anything in health if you're getting two-shot by trash? That really shouldn't be happening. And try block/dodge.

That's the problem with the 1-50 zone. It's all such a faceroll that when you do eventually have to block and dodge occasionally you die. I've watched the people who die constantly in VR and they just facetank everything. C'mon.. there's got to be some difficulty beyond spamming buttons in no particular order until everything's dead. There's no reward in that for anyone.

I lag a lot and my skills are very average (at best). If I can do it there's no excuse for anyone really.

Well a slide show that sort of resembles PvP. Unless it got fixed? Haven't tried today. If this nerf is bad enough I'll probably level in PvP. If it still cripples my computer, I'm not sure what I'll do.

No, the difficulty is ok, but considering the fact that I could solo some world bosses and public dungeons, I wouldn't mind it to be harder.

    Yes and no.

Normal quests and whatnot are fine but the odd crazy solo public dungeon or quest does appear. That aside I actually have to group when doing dolmens / bosses and the group public dungeon, which is good given the whole MMORPG aspect of the game.

Changes are happening regardless.. but what can you do?

I voted yes. I think that these problems what i have is after Craglorn patch because they buffed vet zones trash mobs damage too much. Skeletal warrior hit me (throw dagger) 1354 DMG vet 1 zone, i don't think that this kind of damage is in right place.

The Difficulty of VR content is more complicated than a yes/no poll. In some cases an encounter's difficulty will depend heavily on a solo player's character class and skill tree selection.

Having said that, I vote yes. My VR5, med. armor wearing, stamina heavy Templar has reached a point where boss encounters are nearly impossible to solo.

Not too hard. Perhaps they lack some of the spark that animates quests from 1 to 50, maybe you need more xp gained from fighting, I do not know, but I do know for sure that the difficulty for veteran levels is not "too hard". Anyway, as i can see the minority wins again like in any democratic comunity. I guess we will adapt and play the game that way. :|

I mainly find it dull rather than hard. There are some strategies that work well for me (basically heavy CC), others that don't (pretty much everything else). After 7 veteran levels stuck using the same few skills, and dying whenever a monster gets lucky, or I make a mistake, or, most commonly, lag or bug kills me, gets very dull.

Grouped veteran content is a faceroll, usually. Only exception is Dolmens when you get several of the harder opponents. Solo is fine til you get a bad group of 3 or a CC immune enemy, then it becomes a lottery. CC immune enemies you just pray they decide to use attacks that can be dodged, as they give you time to get distance without being hit. If they decide to spam undodgable attacks you are toast.

I suspect the issue is less content being hard, and more skills being out of balance, armour being irrelevant due to high armour/spell penetration from monsters, monsters being badly balanced etc. Few monsters are really hard, unless CC immune, or high damage unblockable attacks, or with 2 uber healers. Most of the bosses are a good challenge, it's the trash that is hard, and there is so much of it that it gets dull.

I wish I knew exactly why the Veteran Zones were a ghost town, though. There are many opinions about content, but the one thing I see as that by VR7 Grahtwood there are few other players playing.

How can it be too hard. ZOS have already said they expected you to buddy up. It was scaled for 2 players but could be done by a someone with good skills alone. I think that's a great concept.
