I agree its fun. Its the best game I have played in a long time (for me personally) bugs and all aside and some gearing issues.
unfortunately I can't agree that it has a thriving communityI assume you are on AD side? try DC or EP its all but dead really. Keep in mind also that this is ONE SERVER and its almost impossible to get people to do any of the end game or group content.
I will be here for a long time but I worry about the future.
Honestly, I firmly believe that VR should not be the benchmark for how popular or thriving the game is. I'm sure tons of people are nowhere near VR (myself included), those that have made it there are either striving onwards or have rerolled to experience the delight that is 1-50 and then there re those who pop into the forum for a quick read and frankly never even want to see VR.
Of course some have left - it's foolish to think otherwise. But there are definitely more options than 'it's quiet in vet ranks, ergo the game is in trouble'.
Maybe they will make vet ranks more approachable in the future - but there is so much to do between 1 and 50 that it doesn't surprise me that there are disparities in population at 50+ and 50++

Fortunately, the forums aren't the game, and no, the game world is NOT empty. Even at 3am eastern there were people all over the place. And yet, it's possible now to do a "solo" dungeon SOLO, except for the occasional VR12 guy slumming ;-)

Lowering the bar does not prove you right. the game is 4 months old, most by now have someone at vet levels.

There is no chatter, no talking, just crickets. Every once in a while you get lucky enough to find enough people in the zone to complete map objectives.
Yes, some people have skipped all this content and went to Craglorn. But Craglorn isn't exactly the bustling metropolis you would expect it to be if everyone was there instead of in the normal Vet zones.
1-50 was amazingly fun and active. V6+? Not at all.
Again I see people post this yet every time I go to Graglorn I have no problem getting into a tower group to XP grind and I see all the other camps running for grinds as well. We just have different experiences. I can only go by mine as you can only go by yours.
I don't think Craglorn is dead. Far from it. It is extremely active compared to V6-V10. I'm only suggesting that if the sole reason the upper VR zones are empty is because they are all in Craglorn, well then Craglorn would be standing room only. And it most certainly isn't.
I love CL myself. I find the dungeons there (4man) to be much more enjoyable and just as rewarding than most of the VR dungeons. I did an Anomoly the other day for the first time with a group of 4. Ranging in lvl from VR3-VR8. We struggled, but completed it and it was a blast.
Haven't tried the Trials yet.
Craglorn is tuned down from V6+. That, and the very solid xp are the main reasons people are there. But how many people leave the game before they give Craglorn a try?
I am concerned this number is very large indeed. Not only that, but people will tire of Craglorn very quickly if they spend all of their time there.

I saw many in Stonefalls (over a month ago, not sure how it is now), fewer in Deshaan, and almost none in Shadowfen and beyond. When I made it to Glenumbra, I saw the most people I had seen in any of the veteran zones since Deshaan... but the population again steeply drops off after that. I don't see people in Craglorn anymore either. I've played just about every time segment, too, except for 4am - 8am in my time zone.

Soooo because my experience is different from yours I must be wrong? It doesn't work that way, as I said to another I can only go by my experiences and you can only go by yours. Mine have been such that I have not seen the issue with population as so many here would make it out to be, a no man's land. Apparently yours differs. I am just not seeing it in zone VR1 through VR8. The population could always be better but I do not think it is any sort of crisis.

3. The population is thriving. I don't know where those "who see no one play" are but in the VR 1 through 8 zones I have been in there has always been plenty of players, such that when I do a world mob call I nearly always get the support I need. In fact I usually don't have to ask because there are groups asking already in all the VR zones.

I should note here that I do agree some campaigns are a bit light so fewer might be better or some new structure. Will wait to see what the next changes bring.

That's just utter nonsense. I thought it was a troll. Maybe it is.
Whilst those hit hard by gamestopping bugs will inevitably be too peeved to make glowing posts about the game these are just as bad. I've seen a few objective ones which I tip my hat to. Very few.

Again, Templar's are totally OP. Did you purposefully leave that out?
Also, DK is the weakest class.

Straw-man much? You whole post is one big straw-man. I never said there was an overflowing and as far as a thriving community there is more than enough activity to make that a debatable point, hardly a proven truth.

Either google translate ftl or Hodor? Not sure which

I play a templar as my main and yet I find this game fun and no where near that catastrophe the nay-saying chicken littles proclaim

Why do you take my statement as a personal attack?
I never said anywhere that you must be wrong. I shared my own experience, and asked a question.
I am curious as to which server you play on, in which zones, and roughly what times. So I this time I will ask explicitly: what is your server, which alliance is this, and what times are players online?
If these zones are populated, I will likely try to level up another character on the appropriate server and try to play at the appropriate time frame, because I actually would like to play with other people around.

I stated earlier in this thread my server is NA and I play on wabba mostly as a free lance pvp'r, I also stated earlier in this thread my faction is EP. My typical play times are 4 to 11 EST weekdays and weekends are all hours I can get on. Most of my playtime would revolve around the EST zone of activity.
