Easter eggs:D

For a change, I'm gonna try to make a cheery optimistic topic that doesn't concern any bugs=P
What easter eggs have you guys ran into?
To anyone who may not know the word - easter eggs are little surprises, awesome things just hidden there, often in plain sight. If you want to find all the little hidden secrets firsthand, maybe you shouldn't keep reading, just in case ;)

Just yesterday I found a couple of AWESOME things in Malabal Tor. One is that orc in Jathsogur(a fort or something filled with very aggressive orcs). He is fishing on the river there and instead of attacking me he told me "You could join me, there's enough for everyone"=D I was all worn out from fighting his relatives left and right, and I just thought "oh no, not another one!" when seeing him...and instead of attacking, he invited me to fish xD That was so damn cool.

Another one I found(also Malabal Tor) is a crafting station full of unaggressive big cats with gorgeous names like Purrs-in-Sun, Forgets-to-Hunt, Lady Slumberbear and Treethane Scratchbelly.

Share yours;)

If you visit Ivarstead in the Rift, and start climbing the 7,000 steps towards High Hrothgar you'll run into several Frost Trolls.

I like to think this might be a reference to a certain annoying troll in Skyrim who could kill unwary players making the ascent if they followed that game's main quest without levelling up sufficiently.

In Crows Wood instance there is a dagger inscribed 'To M'aiq from his father M'aiq'. Or something pretty closely approximating that.
So they raised the floor and lowered the ceiling. Except the ceiling has spikes in it now and the floor is also lava.

M'aiq is fun to run into throughout the game.

FYI - There is no such thing as 'night capping' in a world wide MMO.
FYI - There was no paid Beta. When they launched the game the Beta was over, even if you don't think it was.
    FYI - It's B2P not F2P. There is a difference.
FYI - It doesn't take any player skill to mash keys or buttons in this game. The ones that stay alive longer have the better internet connection and speed.
FYI - The game is not broken, it still works. It just has 'bugs' that need to be fixed.
    Balance is a "Bad" thing.

Example: There were hundreds of Jedi and only two Sith in Star Wars. The Jedi wanted, "Balance in the Force" and they got it. Now there are only two Jedi and two Sith.

    Balance is a "Bad" thing.

While I love this topic, could you do me a favor and just write ***SPOILERS*** on the main title.

    Thanks. :)

On the subject, my favorite was actually "Maiq' the First". He explained his family history to us in beta.

I was the first in Beta to find him. You should have seen the forums light up when I told people he was in the game. :)

After a few weeks, they changed his name back to Maiq' the Liar.

    I'm not sure why.

I think guards/enemies saying "At least there aren't any dragons around" qualifies as well.

It's called easter eggs, an a discussion on easter eggs is by definition a spoiler.

I like M'aiq, but a number of people seem not to get he's been in the games since Morrowind, maybe they changed it so they could google it. It is a shame though since M'aiq the first would be a nice expansion. Mind you calling M'aiq the knife would have worked too.

Um...I'm sorry if I spoilt something for you, but how is that an actual spoiler? I'm not talking about quests or storylines, just some little things here and there.
If you're 100% set on finding all of these little things by yourself(that's probably gonna be hard, btw ;) ) firsthand, maybe you shouldn't open a thread named "Easter eggs"?

No hidden insult to your intelligence intended, btw=) Just saying.

No, it's cool. It was not for me. Some people actually do not know what easter eggs are, second languages and all that, so it was for them.

Well, then they're gonna learn a new word, courtesy of me:P It isn't my first language either.

But that is why I said "just little things hidden in the game", kinda explains it. I suppose I can edit that to make it a bit more clear.

    EDIT: Done:)

Ok, good point, not sure you can completely use it, as the term Easter Egg is extremely wide spread, and they are likely to have come across it before.

But there are always new people learning new languages, and some of them might not have come across the term yet, So fair point.

Just found some cats at the Mages' Guild in Skywatch in Auridon (Aldmeri Dominion) that actually have names. Thought that was odd, so I paid attention for a bit.

One is named Azura and is sitting on a crate holding court with two sitting below her named Bethamez and Wendelbek. Another cat comes in and out named Tellywelly Softrobes.

No idea what this is in reference to other than Azura being a deity, but it's neat.

Wendelbek was an Ayleid Ruin in TES:4. Bethamez sounds like a Dwemer ruin, I Guess from TES:3 or TES:5.

Bethamez is a Dwemer Ruin located within the Gnisis Eggmine in Morrowind.

There are a lot of references to Psijic Projections but not to the Order itself, that I recall. You might want to note that "we" can't do them but certain Mages like Rurelion, Ealcil, Galerion and Mannimarco can which are indications they originated from the Psijic Order.
