buying non crafted/dropped sets..

Is there a web site or guild which sells non-created sets! The drop rate is so low that apart from buying them from others I will never get 3 let alone 5.

I'm in a few guilds now but they never have what I'm after.

Anyone? I've seen on the ESO wiki references to Arms of Ancestors, Arms of Inference, Way of Air sets......

I want to get that stuff, but never seen it....

    Get Atlas Loot addon.

Apart from it, all non-trial pve dropped sets are random and can drop off any mob afaik.

Thank you, I will try the add-on. I've only got about 12 at the moment. :)

Well it should not add much load to the client, but anchors away always help (I got like 20).

But anyways, I have to correct myself because some sets also drop in vr dungeons (not sure, cant check game now), and others like the lich set drop only off unique bosses spawning in anchors (not chests, but this im sure its anchors only).

I think this is exactly what was intended with avoiding an auction house. The sets you are looking for are appropriately rare and hard to get, which means they can make them more powerful, and desirable, without also ensuring that every player is then wearing the darn things.

As far as getting that set, I did see an online auction house somewhere that seemed fairly legit, but not sure where, sorry.

This is an multiplayer game. I should be able to log in, join a dungeon, join a battleground, queue for a dolmen or world boss or delve, teleport in, play for 20 minutes, and not worry about getting kicked, failing to join, having perfect voice coms, or being unable to complete content because someone's lagging behind. Group Finder and matchmaking is broken. Take a note from Destiny and build a system that allows from drop-in/drop-out functionality and quick play.

Wonderful speech, now the truth hits our faces.

All dungeons/trials sets bonus are worthless. Dungeon runs are worthless. Mix those up and thats why you dont see them for sale.

So they are rare, and worthless as well. Even if they crowded guild stores, most people would not wear them anyways. Crafted and dropped regular sets keep being top-picks.

Disagree. I'm not noticing any more shouting here than in other games, like Neverwinter Online, and that game has a fully functioning AH. WoW's moderators have gotten better over the years. Heck, systems have trade spam all over EvE online, some of which are actually legit, hehehe ...

Some people just spam chat. Even if they made a 'trade' channel. Not that I don't think mods' should enforce (and developers develop) anti-spam rules. And I believe that a trade channel would be a great addition.

But I've seen no proof at all that 'Auction House' somehow means less spam. It maybe *should*, but I've never seen it actually work.

What lame reasoning trying to associate set piece drops and why an auction house doesn't exist. The devs could easily make all set drops bind on pickup if they really wanted set pieces to be non-tradeable. An AH doesn't exist because the game as designed can't handle it. The game has problems serving up a few thousand items in a guild store. Imagine a megaserver AH with millions of items. Sorry but the anti-AH propaganda just bugs me sometimes.

Our goal is to make the economy more player-based, but not to have a system that allows you to find anything at any time because there are so many players involved on a megaserver. With extremely large communities, low-percentage drops can become highly available in auction houses. It ends up harming the “gear chase” portion of the game.

    Disagree.

    It's just a fact, sorry.

If there is a tool that let's people sell fast and get on with the game, they will use it most of the time.

Exceptions would be for rare items.
But I've seen no proof at all that 'Auction House' somehow means less spam. It maybe *should*, but I've never seen it actually work.

It is just logical that AHs help will lower sale chat. It is why it was invented in the first place.

In EQ, before AHs, zones were just full of sales chatter. They they added a bizarre zone where people were personal AHs and the sales chatter in all other zones dropped to almost nothing.

The whole point of AHs is to stop all the /zone sales.

I agree, that's the point. I'm not arguing the logic.

But people do not behave in a logical manner. And every MMO game (I've played, over a decade) that has an auction house still has a profuse amount of trade spam in local channels, unless it's heavily moderated by back-end programing or in-game mods.

A fact isn't just a good argument, it's backed up with real evidence. And the evidence does not support the argument that 'adding an auction house removes local channel spam'.

Have you tried resorting to "WTB X set" in chat, specifically the zone level that's appropriate for that set drop? For example Night Mothers Embrace which is a level 24-28 set (or 23-30 dep on the website) means it only drops in the 3rd zone of each Faction. If you wanted that set, the absolute best way is to goto any of the Faction's 3rd zone and ask in chat. Sure it might still take a bit but often times you can get all the pcs you desire in a single weekend with that option.

Outside of that, being in GOOD Trade Guilds, your own Guild members being on the lookout, or just plain being lucky I'm not sure what else to try.

    Okay....

But, you know that is exactly what you are doing right?
But people do not behave in a logical manner.

People do act in their own interest.

It is faster to put stuff on the AH then to shout in chat, most of the time.

There are some items that are rare and people don't want to pay a huge price on the AH to sell them, so they will still use /zone chat.

However, for the most part, AHs stops a huge portion of zone sales.
And every MMO game (I've played, over a decade) that has an auction house still has a profuse amount of trade spam in local channels, unless it's heavily moderated by back-end programing or in-game mods.

Can you tell me one MMO that has not had an AH, then it got one and the zone sales chat did not change?

I gave you a real example of an AH that helped with zone sales chat.

Because right now all you are telling me is there is zone sales chat even with AHs. I'm saying yes there is some, but there would be a ton more with no AH at all.
A fact isn't just a good argument,it's backed up with real evidence.

I gave you real evidence. EQ.
And the evidence does not support the argument that 'adding an auction house removes local channel spam'.

The only "evidence" you have said is you don't think AHs help. That's it.

    You ignore the logic.

You ignore the real example I gave you.

I guess you just believe what ya want. Don't let the facts get in the way.

    What?

I think what they are saying is that there is no reason to go out and farm the item if you can just buy it.

That's just how I read it, though. I could be wrong.
