Hello,

I logged today in the morning with no problems, went out... came back, launch the game, and when trying log in I receive the message:

"You have attempted to use an invalid or out of date client. Please exit and update your client using the patcher"

I've tried to re-launch the launcher but it doesn't look for any updates (says complete)

I've tried repairing, it repairs, then same message

Tried running as an admin, no luck

The Launcher Version is 1.3.5.964404

The login screen (game) version is eso.live.1.2.4.1013839

"Check for updates" button says is up to date.

Any help?

I could log in the morning with no issues, don't know if there was a patch or a hotfix during the day, but now I cannot play the game.

Could you guys help me to understand what's going on and what can I do to fix this, please?

    There was a hot fix sometime in the last hour. That's the cause. What the fix for those that didn't download the patch I don't know yet

    Repair? Clear DNS? Close a restart the launcher? Those are my best guesses at this time

    I've done that.

    If there was a hotfix, then that might be the reason.

    But wouldnt my launcher to update it?

    I still cannot log in.

    I've tried 'repair' and 'update', no luck, ditto shutting down the client and restarting it.

    Given that these reports are all in the last few minutes I would guess that some sort of update has been applied to the servers but not published as a downloadable update yet?

    Some people are reporting getting the update. So no idea.

    Maybe the downloadable update is on some servers and not others ... I do remember when craglorn first came out, getting the update was problematic for some people (causing manifest errors for a few hours).

    My girlfriend logged on fine, as her launcher updated the client, but my client keeps saying it's ready to play. Tried repair TWICE and force check for update like 15 times... STILL can't log on :(

    EDIT: After closing and opening the launcher for 20 minutes I finally got a Manifest Error 210. Closing the launcher once more started the patch...
    HOLD ON DEAR, I AM ON MY WAY!!! ;)

    Just tried rebooting both my PC and my router (to make sure DNS is flushed properly), still no joy with either the auto-update or the manual update.

    -- Edit:

    And now a change - it saw an update, but the patcher crashed with an 'already downloading' message.

    -- Edit 2:

    Back to the original 'invalid client' message and no updates. Will have to be patient and look at it again in the morning.

    The advantages of impatience ... finally have an update, downloaded, 1.2.4.1015292, looks good and I'm in.

    Gents,

    Just tried repairing (again) and got the "unable to download manifest", then closed and reopen the launcher and finally I'm downloading the patch, hopefully it will work.

    I suppose WyndStryke is right, looks like the hotfix is on some servers and no others, I suppose is a matter of time, try reloading the launcher every 15 min and good luck :)

    Hello all,

    If running as an administrator and the repair option are not working, and your firewall and antivirus are not blocking the game, please try the following:
    • Open the game installation directory “Zenimax Online” 
    • Open the folder named “Launcher”
    • Inside the “Launcher” folder, there is a folder named “ProgramData”
    • Delete the “ProgramData” folder
    • Open the launcher and download update
    • Click “Play”

    Also, we just finished pushing a hotfix for the FPS issue. So don't forget to download this update.

    If this does not resolve the error, please contact Customer Support.
