CS rep Jeremy was very helpful online but incorrectly marked my case as solved. I still can't free look with any of my three different mice. I have tried the following:
  • Tested mouse free look in three other games, all working correctly.
  • Disabled addons.
  • Repaired the client.
    • Uninstalled and reinstalled mouse drivers and software.
    • Tested three different mice in all available USB ports.
    • Tested multiple key binds, including default, on each mouse.
  • Uninstalled and reinstalled the client.

    • Tested multiple key binds, including default, on each mouse.

Note: when casting Volcanic Rune, the AoE circle briefly responds to my mouse movements for a centimeter, but then snaps back to center. Like the circle is anchored to my center view and won't move beyond it.

I've seen a pending, Patch 1.2.3, issue about the middle mouse button on Naga and Logitech mice. But my issues is quite different and occurs while using: Logitech, AzzA and Corsair mice.

Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

According to the official Patch v1.2.3 Known Issues thread, the Razor Naga and Logitech Wireless Mouse is, "Related to the Mac client specifically."

I have a PC, so this can't be the same issue.

There is no mention of a fix for this issue in 1.2.4. But I logged in, hoping for a miracle. Sadly, no miracle for me. :'(

I had this happen. Not sure how it happened but this fixed it for me:

    Go to C:\Users\YOURNAME\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live

and delete or rename usersettings.txt. The game will create a new one next boot up and you should be good to go. I didn't check what got borked in there but the new one worked.

I may have deleted ZO_Ingame.lua in the "savedvariable" folder as well, not sure.

Would it be weird if I printed your post, built a shrine around it and prayed to you every night?

The image below is a comparison of the new usersettings.txt (left) vs the old usersettings.txt (right.)

Somehow my settings were changed? Not sure why or how?

Thank you so much for sharing! + 20 bacon for you!

Glad it worked. I could see how mouse sensitivity of 0 would have that effect. Lol
