[BUG] Items getting locked in inventory.

I accidently picked up some PvP mail with my VR 2 character which I aquired with my VR 12 character and now those items are locked in my inventory.
I cannot sell them, deposit them, destroy them or use them.
Further, the game won't allow me to switch mounts because I keep getting a message that there are items locked in my inventory. This can be circumvented by relogging though, but I have to do that everytime I wishes to switch mount from my speed horse to my pack mule.
How do I get rid of these items which are taking up a lot of my precious inventory space?
