I can forgive all of that! If only they would fix the Memory Bleed bug for Mac's so I could PvP!!

thank goodness Guilds have 500 players in them. My PvP guild isn't even suspicious that i have not been seen in Cyridill once!

For every guy like this who sees the sky falling, there are 50 players *playing* who are thoroughly enjoying the experience. They don't stop to post "this game is great", they just play.

And for every poster like you there are 50 people who quit or are really pissed at the game and don't post a thing.

    It goes both ways.
My wife and I left out of frustration earlier on so I know the feeling, but we came back and realized what we were missing.

    I find this funny.

So many stories lately about people who left in frustration who are already back and have seen the light.

The game has been out for about three months.

What makes you think you will now be staying if you could not even stick with it for that long in the first place?
The bank is ALWAYS overpopulated. The gamer population is there, they are just more efficient than you realize.

Really. I have a video of me standing in a bank yesterday with nobody in it for atleast a minute. Not one soul.

I'll post it when I get home

    Personal experience:

    - Small group PvP, hunting other small groups, is pretty decent. But I stay away from the zerg, as I'm running 22 FPS at the best of times in PvE land. I'll hold out till they have more comprehensive fixes or I get a new machine, whichever comes first. But I can be patient. I'm looking forward to arena PvP and sub-campaigns anyhow, but I'll enjoy what's here in the meantime.

    - Veteran zone players thin out considerably after finishing the second alliance. Pre VR-6 zones are actually busy, and 1-50 zones are really busy. I'm thinking many players, like myself, hit VR6 and made alts. There's a lot of fighting and dying in VR levels, and not a lot of reward, and it gets disheartening. But I expect a VR content patch is coming, due to the players who are leaving, and am patient. I have plenty of time for alts till then.

    - Dungeons are fun, when the group is up. There are plenty of active players out there, but not all of them are in guild with me. I have a feeling it's time for me to go guild shopping again, but that's been fairly common in MMO's and happens every few months anyhow.

    - Craglorn, I haven't done much in besides grind. And I think everyone else grinding. Like a dungeon group, I think this is going to be more of an organized affair.

I'm still missing housing (in the works), better character customization (dyes in the works), more guild features (in the works), small scale PvP (maybe in the works), better VR experience (in the works), adding theft and murder (in the works), and better balance for my stamina builds (in the works).

At this point, the things I think they haven't addressed was character recustomization, rebuilding the skill respec system, giving crafters an end-game (see post in crafting subforum), and making Cyrodiil effect the game world (see post under my profile).

Gotta say, for three short months of live, I'm pretty damn happy.

Ruze is a veteran of the PC Beta, lived through the year one drought, survived the buy-to-play conversion, and has stepped foot in the hells known as Craglorn. He mained a nightlbade when nightblades weren't good, and has never worn a robe. He converted from PC during the console betas, and hasn't regretted it a moment since.

He'd rank ESO:TU (in it's current state) a 4.8 out of 5, loving the game almost entirely.

This is an multiplayer game. I should be able to log in, join a dungeon, join a battleground, queue for a dolmen or world boss or delve, teleport in, play for 20 minutes, and not worry about getting kicked, failing to join, having perfect voice coms, or being unable to complete content because someone's lagging behind. Group Finder and matchmaking is broken. Take a note from Destiny and build a system that allows from drop-in/drop-out functionality and quick play.

I'm not normally a quitter, but I have to admit that thought is bouncing round in my head. When Blizzard, Trion, CCP said they were going to fix things, I never found myself doubting that. I don't have that confidence in Zenimax !
Honestly... I don't see a light at the end of the tunnel. Like I said I'm not ready to quit yet. I'd still consider renewing my sub (maybe reduced from a 90 day to a 30 day though) Or maybe it's just time to take a break?

Ah well, that's my thoughts thrown out there. (feel free to Rage, Flame or Comment)

Seems like the less employees game has, the better job it does lol..

    Trion - 200 employees
    Zenimax Online - 250 employees
    Blizzard Entertainment - 4700 employees

I'll agree with you only about Trion.

Blizzard and I go way back, and I for one know very well WoW is far from being a polished game, never was and never will be. (Looking at you bugged Wrath quests, even though it's been 5 years since then)
If I take out their horrible graphics art, I can begin with their PvP, it's one of the worst in the whole genre, they promised fixing and balancing it for 10 years straight (Yep empty promises, the last expansion had worst balance since the vanilla days).
But fine if I take PvP out of that game as well, all we have left is PvE and that is only one thing - Raids.
Exploration is non-existent, quest and profession system is crappy at best. There are only 2 things Blizzard does well Marketing and Raid System, all other things are average or beyond average.

ESO might not be all I wanted it to be, most of the time I feel like there are many things still missing from the game. But I can't get past the fact how rich detailed worlds are, they feel incredibly alive and immersive, something I never experienced in any other MMO..

I think people thought they would get whole Tamriel since Day 1, I think they don't understand it takes 10 Skyrim games to get that done, it's that huge. Perhaps in the future we will get all that, as for now I'm very happy which direction this game is heading too.
Trion has a dream team of Game developers. those guys know their stuff its why they are being paid tens of millions of dollars and a profit share for the Archeage NA port.
My hope is they will tackel another MMO that runs in the same vein of EQ2. Or more of a sandpark then theme park or sand box. Anyone with any progressive design concepts or creative control have long since left blizzard . Many work at Trion ans welll as the true talent form the Everquest franchinse.

Am I the only one who enjoys the empty Veteran Zones? Less players around means more loot (chests, resources), dungeons will actually be populated with monsters and bosses, there is more challenge, and overall feels more like an Elder Scrolls game. Craglorn was just bad design, requiring 4 players to complete certain quests. It should scale for your group size. As for dungeons and trials, yeah it can be tough finding a good group, but I suppose that's what guilds are for. A lot of people in my guild stopped playing though, so I don't know what I'm going to do when I get there...

As for all the bugs, they should have released the game a month later and finished testing it. They might still have had a large number of people subbed right now if they did that.

There are some real big advantages to a low population game. Seriously, it can be fun to have the game to yourself or with a few friends with nobody else getting in your way.

I think ESO has turned into a niche game like DDO, Rift, SWTOR and others like that.

My most angry is on the elite or boss that you get down to 10% health and then he one-shots you, while your running at less than 50% armor cause you've been gaming all night and no guild mates are online.

Personally hate MMO forums, and count my self as one of the "50 quiet ones who say nothing and quit".
It just saddens me greatly as I have been a long running ES fan for years.
Unfortunately I have come to the conclusion that giving Zenimax the contract for the long awaited ESO was franchise suicide. They released a game that should have still been in Alpha.
After doing every single activity in every zone up to VR8 I have decided my time and love for one of the greatest stories of Video game lore has diminished.

Goodbye lads, Hopefully I'll be back when things get better (if they ever do)...

Ok by me, can you name one MMO since WOW launced, that has moved to niche or plain been ended?

    Warhammer - Closed
    Star Wars Galaxies -Closed
    Shadowbane - Closed
    City of Heroes - Closed
    Defiance - Niche

    I'd forgotten all about Shadowbane

By all means, don't defend the game, just attack the poster.

@Phantax we all need a break from a game once in a while. Hopefully ESO get's better over time and we can come back to a game that does not feel like it is in beta.

    Have a nice day.

Yeah and we can just wait some months to come back in a F2P. Such a shame to ask people to pay for a game in this state.

Just realised (not that I'd actually forgotten) I have next week off work. Think this may be the first time I have time off and have zero plans to play my 'current' MMO.

Looking back over the last few weeks I've had just as much fun doing stuff like-

    http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/discussion/96773/dark-anchor-improvement#latest

Maybe its time to dust off 'Game Maker' and 'Unity 3D' even 'Blender' get myself back into some game/level design. Something constructive to keep my mind active for a week....lol

    :/

I had last week off as well...I just caught myself up on all the shows I had on my DVR while the wife was at work. Had 0 ambition to log on at all.

Although I hate the thought of this game going F2P, I can say one thing for certain. The moment it does (if it does) Zenimax will never get a single penny from me in any form of ESO transaction, EVER !

I can't even say that I'm eagerly awaiting Monday's fix. Honestly.. my main thought about Monday is "What else are they going to break?"
When Blizzard, Trion, CCP said they were going to fix things, I never found myself doubting that. I don't have that confidence in Zenimax!:(

I'm feeling the same way. Been unable to play for three days because of a bug in Patch 1.2.3. Don't have much confidence they will fix it in the twelve days before my sub expires. I really like this game, but I'm not paying if I can't play.

I'm about done too. First post and haven't complained once.

When we started this game, my wife, my brother and I, would level 6-7 levels and then go to cyrodiil to gear up in dungeons. After the first two weeks the loot drops got nerfed into ridiculous rates.

Having leveled all 8 of my character slots to over 18 to get my crafters enough points to max.. I realize Im wearing level 8 gear on level 15s and level 39-42 gear on level 46 chars because nothing usable drops, ever.

VR = the more I level the weaker I feel compared to the mobs I'm fighting. That's the opposite of how the game should work outside of group dungeons.

The banking/mail/crafting system is the worse I've ever seen. We get to play an hour.. Somewhere in the middle of that I mail to my wife and she mails to me. When we get full again we mail again. She returns my mail. I then get to log in a character fill up his packs, and then go on a wild ride of SLOW loading screens logging into each profession alt I have and going through the bank. Logging out when I sort through. Log back on to the ONE character I have with enough bag space to check mail and fill my bank again. Repeat 3x and I sit there an hour. So essentially I play an hour and then go through the loot for an hour. By the time Im done. I don't want to play this load screen monster game for a day or two.

My VR NB started out 2hand/bow and medium armor. My VR dragon knight started out 1hand-shield/2hand and heavy armor. My 43 Templar started out shield/bow and light. My Sorcerer started out duel weild/bow and light.. They are now ALL in light armor and destroy/resto staffs.

Armor and weapons aren't balanced at all. Light get's spell resists (most quest mobs/bosses use magic damage). Mana regen, which effect class ability usage and HEALS (therefore you don't need heavy armor).. plus the two classes that have symmetry with light armor destro/resto also come with armor buffs.. LMAO. If a NB uses medium and siphoning strikes. It will take a hit to magic powers. Kind of a deter to not wearing light armor for magic regen. Why do sorcs and dragonknights not take a hit to mana regen when using armor buffs? Why are destro/resto symmetries returning more health then plate when plate doesn't have anything but health and armor?

Why is Cyrodiil nothing more than DAoC "Frontiers" when the people who truly enjoyed AvA already denied Frontiers? Matt and Mark never learn from failures. We'll Cyrodiil/Frontiers is strike 2. We want Emain, and if someone is taking a keep we'll go to farm RPs (implement RPs). Not because we want to stand just out of range trying to find an inch to reach the enemy while they trebuchet and oil us. Learn from your failures. EMAIN>Cyrodill/Frontiers..

    Bye.
