Group of players trying to complete the Vile laboratory quest. We are at the beginning where you need to squeeze through the rubble & no one can get through.
Has anyone else experienced the same problem? Is there a fix?

RiandrSoul ShrivenA week ago I was able to do this quest without a problem. Today, as a monkey, the option to press "E" and enter the rubble never showed. There were probably seven of us in the room, all monkeys and no one could continue the quest. It has definitely developed an issue.0

Yeah, having the same problem. You can see the marker on the screen, but it seems like an invisible wall blocks you from getting close enough to it.
One person there with me said a customer support rep told them it was a known issue, and that they were working on a fix.0 -

since patch 1.2.3 the quest "The Soul-Meld Mage" in the Vile Laboratory site in Coldharbour is definitely broken. apparently the interactable spot in the rubble you're supposed to squeeze through to the inner parts of the lab complex is now blocked by a glass wall, or has been moved so far away from the starting point at the entrance that it can't be interacted with anymore.
i can confirm that this problem hasn't been addressed in 1.2.4. i checked on the issue again today (july 1) after updating the client. at least one detailed bug report (mine) went to customer service about it, short time after 1.2.3 was up. i'm going to check on this regulary from now on & refile in-game bug reports as often as necessary until i (we, the community) get a reaction. i also brought up the issue in Coldharbour zone chat & asked people to do likewise.

LadyLothi✭✭✭I can confirm that GMs are there to help. I wasn't even asking for help, but a GM was around to help another player with the same problem, so he asked me if I needed help as well and pulled me through.

that being said: i prefer to be able to follow this quest in my own time †again†, w/o being dependent on whether a GM happens to be available at the time i decide to do so, or not. this problem does not fall in the the "old unresolved issue" category. it's there since patch 1.2.3. i know for certain because i've done this twice on other characters before 1.2.3 went live.
apart from that; i think what i'm missing in a case like this is generally, professional feedback. 03/09/2015 - This quest bug has returned as of the new DLC "The Thieves Guild". However, the work around is this... Stand next to the icon where the "E" should appear (but doesn't). Then type /stuck. You then click the unstuck button and pay the gold to be unstuck. Never mind that it says it will teleport you to a wayshrine because it won't. It will load for awhile and then teleport you past the rubble into the room. You can then continue on with the quest and complete it.1 -
