Major Coldharbour Bug Screws Up "Army of Meridia" Questline

Zenimax, et al.:

I have submitted a support ticket and spoken with a CSR regarding this issue. I also wanted to post a topic detailing the issue at hand in order to help the game masters who will be involved in solving this issue, and to see how many other folks are affected by this bug, which cropped up after the most recent patch. Here are the details:

Basically, any and all quests related to the "Army of Meridia" quest line have become "jumbled," for lack of a better word. Jumbled as in they still appear as complete on the zone map and in the achievements, but the Groundskeeper has been apparently reset to the very beginning of the quest. She speaks as if I haven't gathered any allies, or rescued the Alyeid King or Vanus Galerion, nor broken the Shackle. Yet, I have done all of that.

The Hollow City is also once again devoid of NPCs, whereas before the bug, it was filled with people. Cadwell is nowhere to be found in the city, whereas he was there prior to the bug presenting itself. Some other observations worth noting:

1. I have full access to the Fighters Guild District and the Fighters Guild building itself. The Ayleid King is present — oddly enough, both in the district itself, and inside the building. The Ayleid King speaks as if the quest to rescue him has been completed, which it has. Also present are the characters who I rescued from the pit (it was a quest that ended with the retrieval of one of the Lights of Meridia).

2. The Mages Guild District is accessible, but the Mages Guild building is NOT accessible. The interaction icon to enter the building is grayed out. Vanus Galerion is present in the district, and speaks as if the quest to rescue him and break the Shackle has been completed, both of which I have done.

3. I have full access to the inn and the store that are nearest the bank. Both facilities are populated by NPCs. In the inn, specifically, the NPCs I rescued from the Everfull Flagon tavern. They, too, speak as if the quest to rescue them has been done, which it has, thank you very much.

4. I DO NOT have access to the bank, nor the alchemy shop, nor the enchanting shop. All three are blocked and there is no interaction possible with those structures.

5. The stable in the Hollow City is also empty of NPCs, as are the market stalls around the area where you can do metalworking, woodworking and cloth making. The crafting stations remain accessible but, again, there are no merchants or NPCs present in that area.

6. I chose to support the Dark Elves in their quest, and they are present in the Hollow City, and speak as if their quest has been completed, which, again, it has.

7. The Argonians are also present in the city. I chose to help the scholars, and they can be found in their appropriate location in the Hollow City.

8. Also present is the NPC mage I saved during the quest involving two souls in one body. He speaks of missing his friend (the one I couldn't save, because I had to choose between the two of them).

9. The consultants' residence is also occupied by Lady Clarisse Laurent and several other NPCs. Laurent still laments Stibbons being missing, despite the fact that I rescued him from that tower (but, I think, he gets waylaid again before he can get back to the Hollow City, judging from what I've read elsewhere, so you have to rescue him a second time?).

10. Also present in the Hollow City are the mages I rescued from the Library of Dusk. They, too, speak as if the quest has been completed. Which, again, it has.

So, ten points later, that sums things up: The "Army of Meridia" quest is completely borked for me now, and I fear that my VR1 character is screwed.

Zenimax, allow me to be blunt: I have a life outside of gaming, one that demands a lot of attention and is stressful. I have "x" amount of time to relax each week, and I like to game with what little of that free time I have. For the most part, ESO has been a release valve, a way to relax outside the demands of real life. Until now.

Now, Zenimax, you're looking at a very annoyed CUSTOMER who paid you $79.99 for the Imperial edition of ESO, and has been paying $15 a month. Please do your damnedest to fix this bug, because it's my understanding from Google searches that other CUSTOMERS have had this issue as well since at least April, and none of them has received any satisfaction whatsoever other than to likely abandon the affected character, since this sort of bug prevents the completion of the *main* storyline and, thus, locks them out of further Veteran Rank content.

Please throw all of your resources into fixing this bug. Please. Because, frankly, if it cannot be fixed, you're not only going to risk losing a paying customer, you're going to gain a consumer activist who will no longer be able to recommend the ESO *product* knowing what folks would likely encounter.

Last, but not least, if there's any way I can help, you have all of my contact information on file. Don't be afraid to use it.

These have been many topics on this. Search the quest name. They broke it in patch 1.2.3 completely.
