Backlash bug? Or is it just getting removed?

TheGrandAlliance✭✭✭✭There has to be damage done (receiving) for it to work. So if you use backlash and no further combat occurs it doesn't do very much.
However since of course I am not a Templar I would not know whether any recent patches buged this or not alas...Indeed it is so...0 -

Pretty much this. Seeing it used in PvP perplexes me. I could see it being fantastic in, say, WoW, but here, you just won't get away with much because it'll be Purified, or whatever damage you deal after the fact will be miniscule in the scope of that skill's application. It's a waste of magicka better spent on a Javelin, Shards, or even a Dark Flare.0 -

It costs 122 Magicka, if anything it is a waste of time because it's channeled and requires alot of damage. But I've hit over 1.2k damage with it in a 1v1 before, I'm just fustrated because it doesn't seem to actually go off that often and I know they're not removing the debuff so...0 -
