I'm done for now. I have faced Molag Bal and been beaten to bloody pulp many times until I stumbled upon a strategy to pray-to-win. And, so I won. The way combat is now there is no desire to go through it all again.

I know hard core players are against some of the things I would like to see. I don't care. I'm an average gamer and want to enjoy this as much as the next person. But, I need options for that to happen.

01. Real TAB targeting. The way it is implemented now it doesn't work. The second you or the enemy gets too far away from each other you loose the target. Then it is a pain to re-aquire. For fights like the Molag Bal fight, target-and-forget would be nice.

02. Would be nice to have the option to play through content in small groups; not just dungeons. Whether or not someone has completed that quest shouldn't matter. They are there to help you.

03. When I click my mouse button, I expect my toon to attack. On many occasions, I'm clicking like a demon and nothing happens. Maybe this is because targeting needs to be fixed.

04. Why do enemies drop gear I don't need? Why do I get rewarded with light armor when I'm wearing heavy? My gripe here is self-explanatory.

05. I only found one purple provisioning recipe and that was at level 35. That does me absolutely no good when I reach 50. It would have been nice to find a consumate recipe in the level range of 40 - 50 so I could have that buff for the Molag Bal fight.

I'm tired and I'm sure there is more. Oh yeah, armor at level 50 (VR1) is crap. A few fights into the VR1 zone and I need new gear. Has nothing to do with blocking. It has everything to do with facing two and three enemies hitting that much harder.

    1. even if you press Tab you still need to target-over to use skills.
    2. look around, ask someone to group with you. Or ZO must find group to you?
    3. Targeting is OK, pay attention to range of skills
    4. Be social: sell what you dont need and buy what you need. This is MMO for
    5. Most of players didn't find even 1 purple recipe, so? Buy food from more lucky players, be social.
    6. Try to repair it at nearest merchant

I am, sadly, very relived to see that's not just me.... I have filed 2 bug reports on this exact issue in the last 24 hours.

There are a lot more, I am one. And I think what you say about the VRs is perfect. I always vote "Yes", VR is too hard... however, I only have issues when there are three of them.... and only because they hit a little too hard. I feel that if they would just tone down the hit, even a fraction, it would be about as near to perfect as it could be.

Despite my angst about this game recently, I do sincerely hope it turns around and reaches it full potential. But, with the devs not responding to people specific concerns, people are losing faith.

I'm hoping this turns out something like: the weeks up to X-mas morning.... Blatantly telling mom and dad I reeeeeeeally want Jet Fire for X-mas, and spending the weeks getting all worked with mom and dad saying nothing about it at all.... Only to wake up X-mas morning to no Jet Fire, but you have some big massive awesome incredible walking Autobot base instead....

In short, I hope ZOS surprises the hell out of us soon.

    Later to you too.

No, Zenimax does not need to find me a group. But, if there is someone I want to have help me that has completed an area I'm entering and they are a part of my guild, that should be allowable. Much of the content is non-existent in one form or another. You have players who don't care about the information and just race through everything. Therefore, the dungeons are largely empty. Or you reach an objective to find nothing to do.

I would much rather group with a friend / another player and cross a threshhold which resets the zone. But, hey. That's me.

Expect the game to improve drastically...

    ...when it hits XBone and PS4 in Q4 2014 - Q1 2015...

PC ESO? Yeah that's just a console alpha we pay to test.

    @JungleBoot
Fare well fellow tester! Console gamers will appreciate your time invested and financial support of ESO to provide a better experience for their version. I will continue your legacy until such time as ZOS ignores the PC version like an unwanted stray dog they occasionally throw table scraps to.

    This.

It's an MMO, so why in the heck is soloing content forced?

nah, the PC version will always be better for the most part. Though I am not a console hater, I own them all as well... and some games I do like better on the console (Mass Effect series comes to mind)...

One positive thing for console users may be the lack of bots as maybe it will be harder for chinese and russian hacks to be the worthless arses they are if the game can be linked to the console and a ban would mean more than just stealing another CC and opening another account...

But console gamers will not have access to add-ons and their graphics will be limited. While I do like voice chat, I personally don't want to be forced to use it all the time like you would basically need to do with a console...

One major thing about this game in regards to mouse buttons. The skill fires on mouse release not on mouse press, so if you change the way you think about it, it gets easier.

Tl;dr really weigh the fun you have in game vs the business practices you are supporting.

Hm, I've never had any problems with this. I'm also an "average" gamer in ESO, have one melee and one ranged char somewhere in the vet leveling area. I really like the combat design in ESO as it is, but would like to see the combat responsiveness tuned some more. The lowered weapon swap delay in the last patch really improved the combat gameplay a lot to me.

I guess you mean the "solo" bosses you face in the main quests, guild quests and perhaps a few of the zone quests. I totally agree. Solo challenges is fine, but should have been in optional content only, and not related to content mandatory for character progress. Not in a mmo, no. Also, the phasing technology has to be changed to improve the general duo+ questing experience, agree.

European or US server? I haven't experienced this, but neither do I have problems with delay on the EU server. I know many have...could this be related to lag/packet loss?

No it's not, because you get nice gear for alts and also items to deconstruct for all the crafting professions. Also, people aren't always running "clean" heavy/medium/light armor builds, but a combination.

So far, I've managed by reconsider and adjust my build. I do however agree that the loot/rewards in VRx are far too boring considered the effort needed. I would like to see the loot and rewards improved slightly, and the vet trash nerfed some.
