Gotten this probably 3-4 times yesterday and twice today... I love the new interior lighting but how on earth did just riding outdoors across a zone suddenly get broken? :(

Same here. Sent in a ticket and still working to resolve it. Now my launcher will not open. I hope that is not the next thing that happens to you.

Got this error after reaching a keep under siege in Cyrodiil. First time I've seen it appear.

Got it yesterday farming in Bleakrock - I tried to sheathe my weapon, and that's when it seemed to pop up. However, I chose "ignore once" and game seems to have continued to work normally, so that's good at least=)

I am sorry it is happening to others, too. I hope everyone has put in a ticket about this.

I'm also getting the Critical Error ( artdata ), this started after the last big update happened (a week or so ago ) and it hasn't stopped. Its hard to play as this happens so frequently. I will press " ignore once " and I can play for awhile before it happens again, but other times its I press " ignore once " and just get back in game and it does it again and again. I sure hope they get this fixed soon, its hard to play when this keeps happening. I tried repairing game numerous times, but that doesn't help either.

I've had it a few times, but (so far) 'ignore once' has fixed it for me without having to log out or anything like that.

    Hello all,

We suggest disabling any of your add-ons, as these can cause errors when they are out of date. We also suggest that you try repairing your launcher to ensure that your game is up to date.

    Repair:
Players can repair the files for The Elder Scrolls Online on their computer by following the steps below:
    • First, start The Elder Scrolls Online launcher by double clicking on the icon on your desktop.
    • Wait for the launcher to finish starting.
    • If multiple ESO clients are installed and available through the launcher, make sure to have the correct version highlighted by clicking on it once.
    • In the middle of the launcher there will be an entry for Game Options next to an icon of a small cog wheel.
    • Open the Game Options dropdown menu and click on the option for Repair.
    • Allow the launcher to examine all the files for the game. This may take some time.
    • If any files are found to have problems, the launcher will re-download those files.

This should allow you to play the game.

    Update:
    - Manually update your launcher. Details on how to do this can be found here.

    - If the above step do not resolve your issue, please try the following:
    • Open the game installation directory “Zenimax Online”
    • Open the folder named “Launcher”
    • Inside the “Launcher” folder, there is a folder named “ProgramData”
    • Delete the “ProgramData” folder
    • Open the launcher and download update
    • Click “Play”

If you are still encountering the error after trying all of the above steps, please contact our Customer Support team with your Game Consultant for further assistance.

I was getting this error multiple times per day at graphics settings of medium or higher since the patch. Before the patch I could run the game on High without issue (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti). Sent my information to customer support. they noticed my video driver was out of date. updating it seemed to fix my issue since i haven't seen the error in the last few days. Hopefully it's a simple fix for everyone else as well!

That's not the issue. I've tried all these suggestions and the problem still exists. Its not our PC's or our ISP's its on your end.

Pierre, just to be sure, you guys do realize this is not the in-game lua error window that we are talking about right?

It is a separate window that opens and minimizes the game. The CS post in the other thread made it seem like he thought we were referring to the in-game lua error window.

The window that is popping up is a Debug window.
The Debug window minimizes the client, and to some, may even look like a crash to the desktop.

Its still going on and I contacted support. They send you through all these port options and stuff.

Point blank, the game was fine until "THEY" @ZOS made changes nothing on our PC's was changed. After my subscription runs out I'm done.

Good game with potential but I'm not paying for access to something that is now a problem due to the developers and not my machine or others machines.

I have been getting this a lot lately too, so its still not fixed. It started about when thread started but it never bothered me much because it previously just happend t occasionally. Since 1.3 release, It happens about 33% of the time when i load a new char or fast travel. It can happen randomly any time also. When it happens in combat, it definitely impedes my progress & I often die unless i am in an easy fight.

I am using AMD FX-8120 Cpu, 16Gb mem, AMD HD 7800 2 GB VRAM and SSD HD.

Have not disable my addons so might be a problem there - but can't play without them.. so what to do? play wow?

I used to get this all the time. I havent gotten the Data Load Failure in many days maybe a week when i CLOSE the launcher after i start the game.

The last week i have been closing the launcher & the last 'Data Load i Failure' that happened to me, I checked and the Launcher was running in the background. Hope this helps others.
