    In before nerf.

First rule of MMO's: if it feels powerful, it WILL be nerfed.

Second rule of MMO's: it doesn't have to feel powerful to be nerfed.

Hmm, i thought th second rule was you dont talk about it ... but okay.

This is sort of what makes it funny to me. Almost all melee templars were using this ability already in one morph or the other, why buff the crap out of it? Oh well i guess when you only have 5 skills you cant do a whole lot. It just seemed silly, buff the one ability everyone is already using.

my templar isnt using it, just because everyone is using it :D

After more testing i'm actually expecting a nerf on the healing, maybe something in the line of a maximum amount of target i can gain heals from. I can almost kill any size of pack with this ability.

Puncturing Sweep is great for soloing, I have no complaints. But the healing is hardly over-tuned, since you can't block while using it. You're vulnerable when casting it. I cant even cancel Puncturing Sweep with block half the time due to messy animation.

Both Sorc and DK (don't know about NB) can self heal and block simultaneously, for example. Blocking is still more effective than any actual skill when it comes to staying alive.

The ability only shines when using it agains packs of mobs - which means it's good for leveling/soloing/questing and also means it's situational.
Survival while leveling was one of the big downsides of soloing as a Templar since start, and I'm glad to see it's finally fixed.

Personally I've been using it in PvP, for example, and is not that great. Yeah, you get a little bit of heals, IF you fully hit the opponent which doesn't happen all the time.
The ability DPS is quite average against 1 opponent to start off (and so is the Heal you get), it's melee, it's channeled, can be blocked (lowering the Heal even more), and the cone of effect is quite small so you miss pretty often.
So at the end of the day the Heal is good, but situational, imo.

Nonetheless, a positive change. I'm happy to see stuff moving forward for Templars.
