Should Zenimax add full armor previews when crafting.

THIS. Knowing in advance how something will look will be extremely helpful. I can't imagine players NOT wanting such an option!

The lack of a preview option is among the primary reasons that I always wear a costume/disguise. I just look too...mix and match for my liking.

So yes, the option to preview my gear before I wear it would be nice. The best view that I get of it is when I'm at the character selection screen.

A bit of mixing and matching doesn't hurt, My Sorc just got a Dunmer Jerkin, and I crafted some Dunmer Boots to go with it, but the Dunmer trousers are not quite right, the random drop trousers I was already wearing were a better look.

I have mixed gear on several characters, sometimes the set has pieces that don't match right.

But a preview option would still make it easier.

Yeah I like to have my character look a certain way, this just makes it all trial and error, when in a sub based mmo should really be a QOL feature.

    Weapon preview too please!

Made the mistake of making a barbaric bow at VR6, that stupid little skull made me want to kick the family dog. Couldn't sell it fast enough, what a waste of mats.

Cos I wanted to check out how the new jerkins' look like, I actually crafted white versions of EACH motif I have (nearly all of them) for my toon's correct level.. how is that reasonable to have to do that in the first place, just to have a look at an item in a size that is bigger than my index finger...??
Also then I picked a khajit jerkins cos it didn't have sleeves, looked pretty sweet, nice purplish color, matched some of my daedric stuff I still had on. Ok cool, so I wanna start using that. Then I improve it to epic and TADAAA it's some ugly shiny brown colored all of a sudden and doesn't match anything, so I have to craft a whole set. Sigh.

No matter how it would work with the improvements changing the colors and everything, but please fix it.

    Preview.Now.Please.

Yes, I was wondering why they weren't there. It's not the most important feature, but this would be great. While I am familiar with all of the high-end looks for every style/type/quality... I think this would be a great thing to allow and not be limited to whether you have the materials, learned styles, etc... so for those who are shopping in the market or want to figure what they are working towards, it will make their lives easier. And as a crafter, it will save me time that the customer knows exactly what they want.

Many games have this feature. It is very useful if you are wanting to find a certain look (like many players and RP-er especially.)

I fail to see how being able to tell what something looks like before you craft it or put it on (since you can't sell bound items except to venders) will make this a WoW clone. Sometimes things in WoW were put there because they were found to be useful. Doesn't make it automatically bad.

I would like to see any armor crafted or not. I realize this can be found on some websites but that is pretty annoying to look all the time.

Lol, honestly I do not care what other games have it or not, the fact is games that have it because it is a really useful quality of life feature for players.

    Just my opinion of course.

I can do one better. A temper preview - showing all tempered variants of each piece. Could be toggled in the preview-section.

Because quite frankly, it's hard to predict what purple and gold tempers will do to your armor. If you look at ESO fashion, most epic variants looks far more hideous than the fine variants. As a general trend, the more higher quality the gear is, the uglier it is - with more golds and browns that are unforeseen.

    Fun. :)

And don't get me started on Breton Light-legendary:

But then again...my fear of making stuff will be mute when dyes are released. I just wish I knew when! (Can't wait :D)

I don't like the Dunmer Silverweave jerkin (still v7 here). I've been looking at eso fashion and I like the Primal, but I don't have that motif just yet. Guess I'll settle for the Bosmer... =(

Yes! I could finally stop trolling other players hoping to figure out what the hell their armor is.

But really, what I'd love to see, especially on heavy armors, is other textures than various shades of gray. Also getting the feeling that my VR armor definitely looks way better than my lvl 5 did would be nice... Ahem. Asking too much maybe?

I know you are being sarcastic but people seriously think this is good reasoning. It's a terribly bad logical fallacy. Here's an example (Also invoking godwins law):

Adolf *** was a *** and he watched movies.

I don't want you to watch movies because that makes you like a ***.

My example might be ridiculous but the whole argument is ridiculous in the first place. It's called fallacy of association.

To be fair, I think I actually remember seeing a real shield like that at the art institute, though the "hole" was on the wielders upper right side, I believe it was for a spear to poke through. That said, I don't beleive the hole was THAT big.

I'd guess the artist saw some sort of shield like that out of context, and didn't think about *why* the shield had that hole.
