The LotRo system would be great to have here-- you can pull up a window with your character wearing the gear, and also change the dye colors. As it stands now I have logged out with my sorc standing at a craft table, to check ESO Fashion before I commit to a style.

At some point for us founding players this debate will become irrelevant because we will already know what all the armor sets look like. However, it would be very nice for new players and anyone who doesn't already have all the racial motifs to have a clue what their gear will look like and what color it will be before they craft it.. It's just aesthetic. Why not show us?

I don't see why they don't have Mannequins standing in homes, or barracks fully decked out with level-equivalent armor. Like finding Primal and Barbaric armors equipped on Mannequins in the Reach, or Orcish Armor displays around their strongholds.

With such a versatile itemization i was baffled this was not ingame from the start.
Many items look totally badass but you miss out on alot of it since it might be bind on equip and it will become unsellable if you use it.
Preview should be available from chat, crafting, store, loot et.c.
But then there are so many other things to fix first.

This should have been in the game from launch. If you take all the time to make the gear as diverse as they did, not having a preview option is just stupid. I know why they didn't do this up front... so they could add it later and say look at what we did for you. I agree that they (Zen) have a lot on their plate with all the bugs and sad to say they need to address that problem first. I spite of that I do expect this to be added to the game when they get around to it. Oh, and just because we ask for something does not mean that we should get it, unless we pay for it, you know like 15 dollars a month for changes and improvements we want to see. Yes I know that people will ask for stupid things and they should be ignored. But most of the suggestion I have read so far are reasonable or exist in other MMORPGs so asking for them here is not out of line, EVER.

Yes, but the armor & weapons preview should be general available, including the gear from drops, purchased, etc. not only when the item is crafted. Like it is in SWTOR or GW2, for example

Yeah, you can't edit a poll after it's posted, this is to stop people editing what the options are and changing what people voted for.

It's not really an "important feature" but it would be very sweet as it would allow me to know exactly how would look my character before to start to craft and use expensive materials.

I also concur on a preview of some sort. Ideally a proper 3d rendered model with textures and everything that properly match what is being crafted, with the ability to be rotated and spun. Of course at this point I'd just be happy with a still image of the rendered final piece large enough that I can clearly see what it looks like.

As it stands now I tend to burn mats just making a ton of different racial pieces of something then equipping them just so I can see how they look on my argonian (this is ESPECIALLY TRUE for head pieces, since my snout really fubars up some helmets. hah)

Its a complete waste of mats but worth it to look geewwdddd. awww jeaah, sexy argonian tail, jeah.

Yeah I made the khajit light robe cos it was sleaveless and was really annoyed by the color and the massive bits at the side of the waist.
