Cyrodiil map icons not showing up

In regular zones I get the usual black icons for various points of interest (the eye icon), dungeons (the torch), mundus stones and so forth. When I move close enough to them and gain discovery experience, they turn white. If I leave the zone and come back, the game remembers my progress and I'll have some that have turned white and others that I haven't discovered yet are still black.

All of that works fine.

Except in Cyrodiil. I only ever see the icons for the keeps, farms, mines and lumbermills. There are no black versions of icons for anything else.

If I move close enough to something I get discovery experience, but it never had a black version of the icon on the map, so it never turns white. No icons ever appear on my Cyrodiil map. It's always just the keeps and never anything else but a big, blank map full of nothing.

Is this intended behavior just for Cyrodiil?

Wow, I can't believe no one has responded to this. The same thing is happening to me. Map icons used to show up in Cyrodiil for the various PvE things, but for the longest time they haven't been appearing for me (while in Cyrodiil). I have to plan my route while outside PvP, then once I'm in try to remember where all the map markers are. It makes finding dungeons and anchors difficult.

Yeah, I never got a response from support on several support tickets I sent in about it, either.

I gave up all hope of seeing where anything is in Cyrodiil.

if u look at the cyrodiil map from outside of there you can usually see them. I never been able to see them while in cyrodiil. They show up on compass if i get close but that is it.

I bugged this in-game too, a long time ago. They only show up when you interact with the wayshrine, but never when you open the map normally.

I'm starting to think these long lack of responses are silent "Deal with it"s.

Yep -- I have friends (well, they have all since quit the game along with pretty much everybody else I know) who could see everything while in Cyrodiil and out in the field with their M maps.

It's just another in a long line of bugs that will probably never get fixed.

I wonder what causes it. Maybe by selecting a guest campaign it makes them disappear? I was able to see them when I first entered Cyrodiil a long time ago.

Edit: After messing around in game, I figured out what it was. On the map menu, there is a tab on the right side called Filters. Apparently, the map markers are under Objectives. Mine got unchecked somehow. Checking the box fixed my Cyrodiil map!

Saltrice - (Salt tolerant rice) Saltrice, pronounced just like it looks is, in fact, a kind of rice that can grow in paddies of either fresh or brackish water.

This doesn't work for everyone apparently. I found this "fix" a long time ago and made sure to click it but still none of the overland areas are on the map, things like Ruins, Towns, Delves (obviously the Keeps/Resources are). There was an addon at one time iirc that showed the entire zone on your map just like normal zones, can't remember the name though.
