FPS is broken -- FPS in cyrodill -- Need Hot Fix ASAP!

everyone in my group got a significant FPS drop to 10 or even lower in pvp sometimes

it is only fixable by a hard restart

it only started to happen after the patch, some say it is happening alot more frequent after the patch

FIX plz?

this need to be an emergency maintence to fix that ... cant play like that. if every 5 mins i need to restart the game to get the fps to go back up ...

not only 2 people, my whole group 24 people all of them get fps drops, we have to relog to fix it.

half my guildies have same problem too.

I am not sure why this topic not getting more responses though.

wish a dev would look at this

Not only 2 people by far. But ty for acting like by it not happening to you it isn't a problem for nearly everyone in the 2 campaigns I play in and multiple realm players in my guilds as well.

Do you think of real world issues this way as well? If it doesn't happen to you, it isn't a problem?

Relogging solved the problem temporarily for me. It lasted for a while. When the problem began to reappear, relogging solved it again.

I have this FPS drop problem in cyrodiil as well, and the campaign chat is filled up with people having the same issues.

Unbelievable. I canceled my sub going on two weeks now as the only way to speak to a company is with your money. Good luck to all who stick it out. Million dollar game with ten dollar coding.

Again a bit of fixes and a lot of bugs after patch.
My guildmates and I have the same problem too. As was written here "this need to be an emergency maintence to fix that"

I did Tons and tons and tons of investigation to make things easier for you zenimax

I switched all the options 1 by 1 and tried them, went into nvidia settings same thing. not a single setting would keep the fps from dropping

Then I found the issue:

the game is dropping the graphic card when fps drop and it never go back to using it.

as soon as i login, my graphic card power used is 60%.
when that fps drop happen my graphic card power use is about 10% which is the idle value for my computer

the game is still running, but the graphic card is not.

the game is running off cpu power only, and thats why we only getting 5-10 fps in cyrodill

some bug causing that

your engine keeps going to cpu rendering instead of graphic card rendering

game is unplayable in pvp areas. need a hot fix ASAP.

respond please before i freak out. my patient is almost done with this bs ....
is it too much to ask for to play the game when we paid 80$ for the game and 15$ monthly?

what really pisses me off the most is the silence on zeni part. atleast acknowledge the FKEN problem so we can rest in ease and stop typing stupid response to bump that mother fken topic......

its not just two people my entire guild(s) have been complaining about it

it happens at SOME anchors too.

On certain anchors when you pop them everyone in the area talks about a crippling FPS hit. I go from 65 to 9 on some of them.

On the wisp mother at the end of it sometimes especially if people die everyone talks about there fps going down to 15 to 5.

Its not just cyrodil and its not isolated.

I think it has something to do with that new lighting.

I just confirmed with 4 people in my group who have graphic card tools.

the game uses 70-100% graphic card when its running normal

the game doesnt use graphic card at allllllllll when its going to low fps mode. its going off cpu only ...

need a hot fix or a reroll back to older version of this game ... this is unacceptable...

I am raging right now. been a long time and no one aknowledging this from zenimax ... can you fken look at this and tell us to rest in ease a hot fix is coming ?????????????????

ya I dont know what fken smart code makes the game drop the gpu and go off cpu power. like wtf

only a hard restart for the game would fix it

my graphic card runs at 30-40 c and never heats up

its never used to its full power. so thats not an issue

the game just drop the card and say *** you card, i dont need you. i'll just record 10fps on the cpu instead

it mostly happen in big pvp encounters, your pvp go low and never recover, never go back up

your graphic card been dropped.

I am going to keep bumping this until zenimax acknowledge this and tell me to rest assured they are working on this ...

Look at this way, the game sucks so much it couldn't keep it just in game it had to leap out and suck the life out of our cpu/ cards. It is a fecking awful way to run your servers. Use the cheapest ones you can run and tax the hell out of clients' cpu then shrug while acting like it is our issue and not ZoS'.

I had this problem too. Then it suddenly disappeared and I could play with normal fps again.

The only things I changed are: In the Video Settings, I put Vertical Sync On, I set Shadows to Off, I set Bloom Off, I had the launcher running in the background while playing, and I joined a group. Also, all Add-Ons were disabled except for FTC

So any of these things might have fixed it or it might just have gotten fixed for everyone now and I didn't notice

one person in our 20 people group say it recovers after few mins by itself then happen again.

the majority of us still have this problem without any recovery to the drop in fps

we drop to anywhere from 1-10 fps no recovery until a hard restart to the client

will someone from Zenimax tell us they are looking into this?

i am really frustrated

but let me say that this is not what we are fken paying for.

we are unable to play this fken game in pvp zones

as soon as we run into 20+ enemy players fps drop and never recover...

It appears to be some sort of memory leak, not associated with grouping but rather with the population in Cyrodil. Here's why I think that:

- steady decline to 5 fps in or out of group.
- hard reset required.
- only happens in Cyrodil.
