Dear Zenimax, and forum Mods

This is an honest question I would like an answer to. I will endeavor to break no rules as I ask this question.

There are currently some issues involving potential exploits in PvP campaigns. Rather than addressing the reports of the exploiters, the reporters are being sanctioned for TOS violations on the forums.

We have no other avenue to report these issues because the in game GM's have thus far given zero response to this issue that has been ongoing since the server came up yesterday.

So, I am asking green names here what the deal is? This is not something that can wait days to resolve, this is an immediate game breaking issue that needs an in game resolution via GM support immediately. Not tomorrow, not next week, not at the next patch, but right now, log into Wabba and take care of it.

This is why people are posting all of these threads on the forums, because youre not taking action on the root of the problem, but rather taking action against the symptoms that are actually the victims in this.

The in-game report system is the proper place to do this. It's standard policy with all MMOs for the GMs to not follow up with you if/when they take action against any individual.

Naming and shaming is never, ever ok. You don't have the tools to know when someone is exploiting or hacking the game client.

Dont talk down to me. I have personally viewed and been a victim of the exploit.

The GMs are not stopping the issue. That is obvious because it has not stopped.

Also, do you even know what the exploit is? If you do not let me educate you.

Through whatever means it has now become possible to drop a Forward Camp inside an OPFOR's spawn area (the area clearly set up to be the safe zone within Cyrodiil for your faction). Once this is done, they can enter the area and map the wayshrine.

Once they have the wayshrine mapped they can port to the safe area whenever they wish and attack players in a location that was never intended to be accessible to them.

This thread along with the other should be under the Alliance Wars forum. That is where the mods have already commented that a fix is going in for this tomorrow.

Unfortunately they have very little backbone and don't realize that by trying to save money by not banning the exploiters they're allowing honest players to get fed up with it and leave in larger numbers. These players are never coming back, for the most part. I have never personally been contacted by a GM in-game after reporting an issue. The only time I have seen one on-line, they announced that we should whisper them locations of bots so they can get rid of them.

Good luck and I hope you get attention because this is a ridiculous issue for a P2P game.

Sadly this is VERY common with the forum mods. I have gotten infractions for braking no rules before. I can only think it must be due to stress knowing their pink slips are waiting to be handed out any day now.

Demanding mods do something right now. I'm sure they'll be inclined to listen to such a polite request. -.- I don't even see an explanation of what exploit they are supposed to be going to look at.

It would take a game master less than 30 seconds to log into Wabba NA and put a global message up ordering them to cease and desist under penalty of suspension.

30 seconds.

There is one way to report this. The in-game system. I'm sorry if you don't feel it's adequate, but that's the system that exists. Posting name-and-shame threads here is worse than useless.

You are aware the in game support system is a complete joke right?

The only way I have ever gotten anything accomplished through CS is by using the web form to have them call me (and its always at least a 12 hour wait)

This has been ongoing for about 24 hours now, a whole days worth of blatant exploit and disregard for the rule and spirit of pvp set forth... and exactly zero move to stop it pending their "fix" in two days time.

I am not sure if I should be angry or extremely sad.

I'm aware that I've contacted support via the in-game system a total of 4 times since launch. Each time, I have received a response from a real live human being within an hour, despite knowing that it could take up to 12 hours.

Again, there is only one way to report exploiters, and that's via the in-game ticketing system. If you don't want to avail yourself of that, it's your choice, but that's the only method.

I actually feel like posting in the forums is probably the worst place you could possibly take a PVP exploit. Players who may not have discovered it will then see it on the forums and decide to get in on it while the getting's good.

I know that's not your intent OP, but threads like these can exacerbate the problem by multiplying the number of cheaters. Much better to report it quietly than to risk making its methods more widely known.

Greetings everyone,
as @nerevarine1138 pointed out, the best way to report an exploit, is to use the ingame /bug function or the Report feature. We are already aware of the specific issue @Rylana pointed out and have included it in our Known Issues thread.
We do not sanction exploits of any kind and thank you for your cooperation in pointing them out. Should you see a player from your or another alliance seemingly exploiting game mechanics
We are now closing this thread, as there is already a topic about this issue.
