Are you waiting for housing ?

Since housing is projected to be around 1.5 to 2 years away, no I'm not waiting on it. If I'm still playing ESO 2 years from now, it won't be because of the housing.

Basically this. I love housing, but it will not be the main reason I keep playing.

Also if you look at the biggest success story in mmo history, a game that probably made more money than all others combined and thus had massive amounts of cash available to throw at developing it... well, that game released late 2004 and housing is only just now becoming a fact in the next expansion even though it was planned from day one. So it might take far longer than expected and thus not worth waiting for.

I will just keep playing for the things I do enjoy in the game now and not wait for anything that might some day become a part of the game. I live in the now and pray they won't move the game into a direction I don't like. If housing comes before I get bored of the game, then yay. Otherwise.. ah well.

I feel a lot more connected to this game than I did WoW probably because the previous games let me build a story line of sorts for my characters. Given that I'd actually bother to spend the time to create and decorate my own house if I had access to that in this game. I really enjoyed some of the strange drops you could get that you could toss about your house. Centurion Gyros and Oblivion portal Sigil Stones galore. If people are worried about it being a work around for bag/bank space if we're allowed to display say that fancy ax you got from a boss drop, just make any non furniture object you can place from your inventory connected to your bank limit or provide a similar system of upgradeable slots for loose items within the home. Or you could simply have a limited number of plaques/mannequins for display. I'd have a whale of a time.

Posted this on mmorpg.com but think it's better placed here.

Make housing available to everyone, don't make it guild only related but let guilds have their benefits Think everyone should be able to access placing small houses but when guilded they should gain access to bigger houses and more option in their houses.

    Solo: one "special" slot.
Guild: able to access more "special" slots.

Slots could be filled with either gardens to grow alchemy plants and/or craft station(s), vendor.

Solo: able to grow alchemy resources by placing a garden but not able to place a vendor NPC.

Guild: able to place a vendor NPC but not able to have a garden but has more "special" slots..

Furniture all styles, mix and match all styles together or make it more traditional in one style...

Woodworking, Blacksmith, Alchemy all can have a new specialization ability line based on crafting houses, furniture and gardening.

Optional give access to your house: all, friends, guild members, none.

Ability to upgrade every type of house. Each with their own limitations depending on solo or guilded.

Make housing items craft only or from rewards completing certain quests

Don't make it instanced, I can understand phasing.

Make it also possible to buy/rent a house in major city's, make it very expensive to acquire but also one house account wide. You can't place a vendor/craft station/garden but can have upgraded inventory/furniture space

Guild ranks determines how many housing slots you can have. For example when a guild rises the fixed amount of players in his town/city the amount of slots rise's. Guild leaders might start with 2 housing slots where he can place a guild building and a guild leaders house. Guild buildings could have optional feature's, example the guild leader can choose from: Church like building with ability/skill Shrine's or choose to have all craft stations with certain stat enhancements for crafters within the guild. Their own house should have the max of furniture slots. And as the population/community grows bigger with more members the more slots can be given.

Last but not least make furniture accessible, meaning I should be able able to sit on that chair, lay on that bed

Housing is extremely important to keeping the interest of more casual players who don't have the time or inclination to get all hardcore at endgame. It would be a serious mistake for it not to be added within the next year or so, but it isn't necessary quite yet.

Deffinantly looking forward to it. It'll be a long time in the making, but I'm confident I'll still be here when it's finally announced.

With all the current issues in the game? Seriously, unless it adds free storage maybe. Everything is so overpriced in game already that comes from NPC's. So no.

I would like to see it.
    1. personal chapel with priests chanting, choir and clebration of the Mass
    2. personal dungeons with house of pain included; many tools of torture and cages for vampires and werevoles. execution blocks; sun hole for vampires and silver bath for werewolves. in fact I would like to see torture simulator in game with npc's health decreasing while you work them. you would be able to capture defeat npc in the world and waterboard, extract information for chests and rare ingredients.
    3. slave pen where goblins and other lesser races would live. the amount of gold spend on slaves would reflect their health condition and the way they work your fields and gardens.
    4. establishement of your own noble house. option for arranged marriages with npcs and other player houses. serious in game implications

I would love to see housing in game, but I am not waiting for it. To me its like waiting for the event when the sun will go out, it will happpen but I will most certainly not be around at that point.
Cant picture myself spending two years in any game.

Makes me sad that people vote no on this one.
I can't picture myself playing this game for another 2 years waiting for housing either.
However, I am hoping that if the community keeps demanding it, they might implement it sooner.

I would prefer that housing is brought into the game at some point in future, but it isn't a priority for me at the present time.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Take a look at the houses and Guild houses in EQ2, by far the best example of housing in any mmo to date. If they do something along these lines I would be more than happy. The housing in Skyrim was OK for storage, but other than that it was pretty basic with not being able to move things etc, Being able to fully customize your in game home is the way to go instead of having everything in a default position.

Once they fix Nightblade they can do housing.

And I want a boat, a GOOD boat. That I can sail to other ports. I'm more than willing to grind up the excessive gold to get it.

I liked the Hearthfire DLC for Skryim, so I'm definitely hoping to have that capability at some point in ESO.

Nothing if you grow them yourself!

It's a deal breaker for me in the long run, without it and the content it will add I don't see the game being able to keep my engrossed/absorbed for very long. Without housing it's just not a true TES game in my opinion.

That depends on whether you buy a premade house or make one, the first would be very expensive, while the second would be significantly cheaper. I doubt they would let us build them for free, but a token fee, plus gathering the materials needed (wood, stone, iron for nails and hinges) should be sufficient.

Housing? what the hell for ?

Just a thought, and I truly mean no sarcasm at all by saying that, but a guild headquarters can be a cool addition a housing could be a way of achieving it.
