Long Shots is now a pointless box outside of Cyrodiil

With the reduction in range of Snipe to 35 meters, there is now no bow attack that meets the required range of 40+ for the long shots passive to trigger its maximum bonus.

Not even the Eagle Eye set bonus of 4 meters will trigger max longshots on any bow skill.

Zenimax you need to drop the range requirement on Long Shots to 35 meters (28 would be better really)


Edit to add: I am specifically talking about the range where you actually get the full 12% bonus (6 with one point in the skill). Its 40 meters, which was only reachable with snipe before. Now we are not going to be able to achieve our rated bonus with any shot. In fact any shot under 28 meters actually yields HALF of the bonus rated.

Since the skill ranges up from 0 to max distance, the threshold for "12% bonus* needs to be reduced to at least 35, better to be 28.

    Yeah... I don't know what they were thinking with that change. Like bow attacks were even remotely OP to require such a nerf. They should've reduced the range so it affected all bow skills and basic attacks evenly, not nerf it so it only works in cyrodill. I was actually happy that they were finally giving the bow the attention it needed and they go and do this x.x

    Long Shots does not have to be 40m+ to get 12%.


    12% bonus starts at 35m.

    The max effect of long shot peaks at 35m apparently.
    might be wrong but maybe this smaller range will allow for better scaling

    Did they fix bow sneak damage?

    as I've written in another topic, here's my problem:

My alt is breton and I'm too low level for any crit or sneak damage enhancements yet, so dunno what else could interfere. Also my weapon trait is Training and mundus stone Lady (= the first one). And no, I didn't take Long Shots passive yet to interfere with numbers.
