This happened to me yesterday. Totally my fault lol. I was riding around Eastmarch, VR9 for me, collecting mats, killing Mammoths to test some stuff, talking in guild chat and not paying attention and then BAM; hit for 1500 from a world boss. This was an instant attack as far as I can tell. The rest was not instant...but the boss killed me before I could break the stun, as I was mounted. I thought it was pretty hilarious the amount of damage it did to me
Attack an Atronarch, wait till it begins the animation to cast a blue fireball, run out to one side, the fireball follows you.Edit - Per the "homing attacks" you can dodge them and you can block them. All of them.
While if you run out of the way it hits you.JoseDelgadoCub17_ESO wrote: »If you evasive roll a homing attack misses.
You people have no idea what I'm getting at do you? "Just dodge the homing attack!" Thats not my point. My point is that it shouldnt exist because its just bad design.
Everyone understands your point and they disagree with you. You want a game where mitigation values are pointless, and that my friend, is no MMO I want to play.
Where did I say I want damage mitigation pointless? See? You dont get what I'm saying. My point is that no boss should have a lock-on skill.
Simply give us a difficulty bar and be done with it. Keep Cyrodiil as is, if you can't make in Cyrodiil stay out. But come on, I play Elder Scrolls for the stories, crafting and RPG. I'll die a few times and be a happy camper when I beat the boss after using a few healing potions. I don't care about proving myself as a hard core gamer who can kick butt at awesome difficulty. Let me relax and have fun.

Stupid mechanics are stupid.
Nope, running out of a red cone uses zero stamina .. 'running' not 'sprinting' .. almost always I am well out of the red yet still get hit.Simply give us a difficulty bar and be done with it. When you say give US what you mean is give YOU. A lot of people are happy with the difficulty.fromtesonlineb16_ESO wrote: »While if you run out of the way it hits you.JoseDelgadoCub17_ESO wrote: »If you evasive roll a homing attack misses.

if you have the stamina to run then you probably have the stamina to dodge. Dodge works run doesn't.

Why should there be no lock on skill? Its really not that bad of a mechanic. if you can dodge everything by a simple circle strafe thats far too easy. Make us dodge roll and block, and occasionally throw attacks we can strafe out of.
You are asking for a game in which everything can be evaded by simply slowly dawdling around the battlefield. Which is just silly.

If I'm out of the red I shouldn't get hit, it shouldn't matter how I moved. This is entirely artificial to penalise those who don't double-tap a button or hit the 'V' key (which at times of course isn't useful as the cone is longer than the roll backwards you do).
Because heres the issue. Once you run out of stamina, GG. Hope you brought 400 potions. If you couldnt kill the boss in time and your out of stamina, what are you meant to do?

Do exactly what death screen tipo says. Come back later when you get better gear, bigger level and learn how to play
You really can't accept you're wrong in any argument can you, ""if you are walking out of the zone then I'm sorry you're doing it wrong".fromtesonlineb16_ESO wrote: »Nope, running out of a red cone uses zero stamina .. You can dodge in any direction and there are very few telegraphed attacks that are so big you cant dodge out of. Even in trials usually a double dodge will get you out of any dead zone. If you are walking out of the zone then I'm sorry you are doing it wrong.

What the hell does it matter HOW I get out of the red, point is I'm well out of the red .. such as bear's cone attack, bat's cone attack, etc. .. AND I STILL GET HIT!
Stupid game mechanics are stupid.
I do, read what I just posted till you understand it .. red cone appears, I circle round to the side or further of the mob, well outside the red, I STILL GET HIT!fromtesonlineb16_ESO wrote: »You really can't accept you're wrong in any argument can you, ""if you are walking out of the zone then I'm sorry you're doing it wrong".fromtesonlineb16_ESO wrote: »Nope, running out of a red cone uses zero stamina .. In this case I'm not wrong. The game mechanics might be wrong (damage applied before the end of the animation) but that's manageable. Just get out as soon as you see the red.
