Heavy attack not connecting after Uppercut

I am currently trying out a stamina build with a Two-Handed weapon, but am finding that quite often when I follow up the Uppercut skill with a heavy attack, the heavy attack does not connect.

I don't have any issues with lag as far as I am aware, and I have the enemy properly in my sights so that they have a red halo and their health bar is showing.

It is getting a bit annoying as I have Uppercut morphed to Wrecking Blows, so the first hit after performing the skill is more important than most.

    I thought it was just me!

    I have been having this exact same issue with my Sorcerer 2H build. It may be related somehow to the problem where you can't use Vampire Drain abilities on a knocked down opponent. Some condition values are not stacking properly and vampire drain ends up getting considered a "knockdown" preventing it from being used on a currently knocked down enemy.

    I tried to ask ZOS to allow vamp drain to work on knockdown conditions, since it is an essential part of a "live dangerous" build to be able to rely on drain being there when you need it. So far they haven't confirmed they are aware of the issue.

    In this case, I am wondering if maybe the heavy attack would have applied another knockdown type effect due to an exploit effect from the Uppercut morph, however since "knockdown" type abilities don't stack, the whole thing fails to connect.

    That is just a theory.

    Was going to make a new thread, but guess I'll just resurrect this one as I can't find any mention of whether or not they are aware or plan on fixing this.

    Still having an issue with heavy attacks not connecting after an Uppercut as of yesterday.

    It wasn't mentioned in the patch notes, but does anyone know if this problem persists after patch 1.2.3?
