It's fun from 1-50 and PvP is fun... But it's still in a beta state... A task as simple as buying an specific item from a guild store is almost impossible... I hope it's better in 6 months or so.

Youre either going to love or hate it. Personally, im highly considering unsubbing for a few months to see which direction the game goes. Im so sick of playing Dragon Knights Online that it pisses me off every single time im in Cyrodiil. It takes an entire group to take one down, and hes still going to kill at least one person before he dies.

    I refuse to reroll.

Moral of the story, roll a DK if you plan on staying.

I say find a build to specifically $crew a DK. Or a combination of builds.

Pretty impossible to do whrn you can drop 10k damage on them in a matter of 6-7 seconds, and they heal themselves faster than you can do damage, all while *** you.

DK's are gods, its ridiculous. Seriously, go into Cyrodiil and try killing one. I highly suggest you take some friends.

I say an army of hard cap health Templars with blazing shield a ready. 2nd stat STAMINA. If he hits them hes screwed. If he doesn't hes screwed. If he wants to cast magic missile theres a reflect for that as well.

    Plus stun is fun.

Ohhh really? I just rerolled a DK. I have a dot fire dk, but I want to go pure tank and build into some fire dmg later. This makes me happy. I find chars that are annoying to kill are the most fun to play. I orignally went for a templar tank/healer. Didnt work out as well as I planned.

    dalies and mentlegen lol.

I think so. Things getting all fzdzs'd up by patches, including your build and forcing you to do things differently is nothing new as far as MMOs go.
No other MMO I've played has had such radical changes that large numbers of skills have been changed beyond recognition only three months after launch, which is a clear indictment of the lack of care taken over them before hand.

Yes, it's very common that an expansion will see a wholesale changing of skills, talents, whatever, and when they do happen OTHER MMOs developers give players a free re-spec since they [the devs.] recognise they've pulled the rug from under their players.

Not so ZOS, they obviously see it as just another gold sink and time-waster because people have to waste time recovering the gold they lose.

that is a good point. i know games have problems. but i have higher expectations for monthly fee games.

The ONLY expectation you should look for is. PLAY THE GAME....ARE YOU HAVING FUN.

If YES continue. NO leave. SIMPLE.

What did i just read? Can we have a civilized decent discussion. I understand the point you are trying to make, but it doesnt help nor ARE YOUR CAPS appreciated.

Yes I expect more of a game that I pay $15 a month for. One thing that attracts me about a game is a monthly fee. I expect it will be better maintained, have fewer issues, higher fan base... and come on. Do I have to explain this? I played WOW for a long time. I like monthly fee and I have higher than normal expectations of games that cost a monthly fee.

If you played WoW for a "long" time then you should know by now what you are getting into. Even WoW suffered from a sketchy launch, misunderstood direction, tons and tons of bugs, and terrible terrible balance. Hell a lot of these issues actually still exist in the game, however people try to look passed it. Although a lot of the bugs have been handled and their maintenance goes smoother than it used too, lets not forget 18 hour patch days that didn't really do anything. I'm just saying maybe your expectations for a newly released MMO game, especially a TES game which has always been known for bugs, is a tad bit high. Stay around a see where the game heads, once they get into the groove of things I'm sure it will be a grand adventure to be had by all.

    To the OP;
If they continue to keep PVE / Storyline orientated then I for one will continue to put as much time into the game as possible because yes its very worth it.
If they go the route of WOW etc and destroy the game by 'balancing' and only making changes due to PvPer pressure then im off.

    Be safe.

My main is a NB VR5. Shadowy Disguise always worked for me and still is working. When for what reason ever the animation can not perform till end, you will not be cloaked. Cloaking is just fine as far as I can tell. Still NB is broken because of different things, I agree. When you can decently play a broken class, imagine what happens when it gets fixed. Moaning for nerf incoming.

A fix for NPC health desync is in patch notes 1.2.3

Thanks for poiting out what the origin of qq is. Actually I couldn't care less. Only fact I know, it's used for crying eyes and I meant it like that. I apologize if I sounded like a *** there. What I wanted to say was, everybody has a day or two when he/she is in doubt about the game being worth the money and time you spend playing it. The reason for that is there are so many little thing that are not finished and polished yet. Sure there are bugs. When you stumble across one of them for the 30 time it becomes quite annoing. Still no reason to spread shirty mood across forums. That's how the OP sounded to me. Anyhow, it looks like you rerolled a DK to wait until NB has been "fixed" for you to have fun playing it again. Guess what. I did the same thing and switched from NB to sorc. I'm having fun and I think the game is worth the money and time, because I can see Zeni's stuggle to deliver fine polish, content and fixes. That makes me confident I didn't waste time and money for nothing by leveling my NB.

I wouldn't measure its worth by the amount of bugs or the things other people say. The main thing that decides whether or not it's worth spending time on is how much you like it. Remember, you play games for fun- if you find it fun, it's worth spending time playing, and if not, then maybe it's just not for you.

If YOU like the game and if YOU are enjoying it, and if YOU are taking the good with the bad, and if YOU think it is worth it, then YOU pay and YOU enjoy the game.

You can reach and watch hundreds of reviews and comments, the only way to see if any game is worth it, is if YOU decide it is.

In MY opinion and in MY experience, yes it is, despite the bugs and issues.
mDKs still need a lot of love!

My personal belief is IF a Stamina build can get their hands onto a Magicka build the Magicka build is at a loss.

They want to cast something that takes more than a second STUN them. They can only CC Break so much.

Being a Stamina build Light attacks do crazy DPS and eat opponents Stamina for attempting to block. Save Heavy Attacks for the "opportune" moment like after a stun or block of a Heavy Attack.

As a Templar Blazing Shield + Hard Cap HP is your friend. Templar also gets an anti Magicka ability.

Obviously your not going to go into the fight alone so any help near by will assist in destroying the DK.

    CC is your friend.

With all honesty I am complaining only about PvP. (which won't make me unsub untill I finish whole PvE.)

to answer if it is possible to invest a lot of your time to thus game... Simply yes.
There is a ton of content to go through.

It could be great to join some RP guild and playing it this way will unlock huge ammount of new fun. It's best to pick guild with optional RP you are not always in mood for that for sure.

PvP in the future could be awsome - I have hopes for that. Since I still have 8 vet levels to go to reach top level, that gives ZOS a lot of time to improve PvP. Of course if they feel it is working as intented already then I am not going cry over it when I reach vet12. There are other games with pvp which suits me better :-)
  • gorant1313ub17_ESO
This game is worth every penny and every second... when it's working properly.

Besides for DK's not being nerfed at all for some reason and all the recent failures of the new patch which broke things such as silver shards, etc. it's hard to complain about much over here.
