By the way, if you are looking for confirmation from a Dev, your are in the wrong place. They are on Reddit 99% of the time and rarely look at their own forums.
basicly as the top says, any idea if this is going to be implimented?
Bloody hope so, and I hope they come with traits too, would be absolutely amazing -

i'd say no to the traits tbh, we dont need people getting an extra 4.5% crit
but jewelcrafting would be useful for giving gems more use especially the ones you tend to have to much of like exploring or sprinting.
Shame, as it looks a simple add, you gould even use gold as the base "material" for the jewelry, we already have all the stones, soooo, a bit of a no brainer really....

Whats the point of crafting jewellery without sets?
That's the most useless add in the game if it happens.
> Sets or useless add. gg
Answer:
From TESOElite's Crafting Q&A with Paul Sage summary
Under the Miscellaneous section, near the bottom:
"Q: Will the ability to Craft Jewelry (Rings and Neck pieces) be put into the game?"
"A: It is something we have discussed for the future and it is something we would like to do."

Amethyst! I would totally make a complete set of amethyst jewelery every single even level if I could. Tiger's Eye would look awesome on a Khajiti. There's also nothing saying that we can't use the gems for multiple things. Lord knows I have a full stack of the Almendine (sp?) in my bank and getting more most days. There are traits that I just don't use on my gear so having another place to put them could be very useful. It would ALSO mean not having additional gems in my bank, taking up even more room.

If it is that simple, please submit your resume` to ZeniMax so that you can help create Jewelcrafting in the game.

@dharbert, @Tigger62077, I think an answer to this that would make sense would involve refining the jewels... (Essentially inspecting them / cutting them to find those of better quality among the one's already possessed.)
As part of jewelcraft, refining the existing stones could yield "Refined" or "Flawless" versions of the stones. There could even be various levels:
Common (armor/weapon type) -> Average -> Improved -> Superior -> Flawless
Each taking X amount of the one before it to have a chance to yield the next grade.
This would create new items within the game, but would not necessarily require them to come up in loot.

I'd like them th completley remove enchanting and replace it with jewelry making. The nodes could be gems or stones.
Enchanting could fall under clothing, blacksmith, woodworking at a cost of the stat. Just charge me vs me going to a vendor and buying enchants.
Enchanting is 100% pointless because of the vendors.

Vendors only sell white level enchants. The difference for a single enchant between white and legendary is modest true, but it makes a huge difference when adding up the difference between a white enchant and legendary enchant on every piece of an entire set of gear.

From sources I unfortunately cannot site, ZOS currently does not have any plans to add jewelry crafting, but it is something they know players want and may add to the game in the far future. Currently there are too many other things on the plate to worry about a new crafting profession.

I think that makes the best sense but then why aren't items that are found in the game built into the craft system at all?
