DK won't have chance to escape when NB hit you twice or thrice for 800-1.2k and you are dead. Sad but true.

There are two things that need to happen to make that true if you are talking about close range, first the NB had to get the sneak attack, second the NB has to get the DK under 25% in that first or second hit to get that last 1200 Impale critical (maximum magicka build I have seen 1500 damage critical against a player, not VR12, but VR ranked), but that requires them to be in that 25% danger zone.

I have a hard time seeing multiple 800 to 1200 damage hits (with the exception of the opening hit and execute) unless you are referring to NB with a bow critical stacking snipe. That makes sense then, but then again, easily countered.

oh, and isn't the DK ulti a leap? If you're that worried about escapes why don't you run that instead of standard like every other DK in the game

That's the totally wrong way to look at it. Where DK is(which is still in a very good place despite the OP's...view) should be where the devs are trying to get all the classes to.
