Undocumented Mass Hysteria change?

My V6 Nightblade has used Mass Hysteria for CC a few levels now. Today however something is different, mobs are breaking the CC and then becoming immune to it much like a player does. This did not happen pre-patch and I saw nothing in the patch notes about this. Was this an intended change?

    Automatic crowd-control immunity and crowd-control break immunity will now protect you from the same types of crowd-control.

    The new auto CC immunity is now in place, this effects everyone (players and NPC's)

    That is ridiculous . If that is intended then I call sabotage of the part of ESO they must WANT their game to fail.

    I don't have points in mass hysteria, but I imagine this will affect all forms of CC like stuns and slows? Is there DR on each type of CC, or do they share DR? That's actually a big nerf to Nightblades, who rely on a lot of CC in the upper vet levels due to over-buffed NPCs.


    EDIT: Just tested the Veiled Strike stun from invisibility and it still works the same. I was able to repeatedly stun the mob. Don't want to put points into Mass Hysteria lol.

    Its not every mob, so far the melee skeletons in the crypt under davos watch has broken it and one of the named quest mobs has also broken my fears.

    Anyone tested Volcanic Rune yet lol? Gut feeling is this was meant to nerf that ability hard!

    I'm 99% sure that I read something in the original patch notes that said something to the extent of "CC will no longer effect npc's that are in the process of dodging or blocking".

    But there is nothing like that in the revised version. Only a comment about CC immunity properly effecting all player cc.

    Just died and wasted 5 soul gems on a public dungeon boss (previously easlily beatable with my vr5 dw nb). Can't kill the trio now. Not very happy about the cc change at all. But like I said, I'll try to adjust and if I can't, it'll be time to move on finally. No hard feelings.

    You can thank macro spamming abuse in pvp for many nerf hammers. Maybe it's time to voice your opinion in the Alliance War section?

    I can see why they'd do it, I mean generally a fight shouldn't really consist of you spamming the same CC to get through it, I doubt that's how they intended combat to work. It was silly how you could just stand there and drop Volcanic Rune over and over. However if you've gone so far to equip more than one CC, ie snare, knockback (knockup? lol) then they probably shouldn't be on the same timer.

    The bigger problem is how some playstyles/classes find they end up having to rely on these things to get through.

    Agreed that it's a pain to have to rely on ccs for survivability. And I only used volcanic rune once or twice per fight depending on the level of difficulty. But as a dw nb it's already a pain. adjusting playstyle as I type this.

    We need to nerf Veiled Strike then so it works like Sorcerer CC and targets become immune.

    While I agree with what your saying, the games play system essentially screws itself over in this department.

    People laugh and call you L2P if your just pushing one or two buttons, and in turn call you OP and faceroll if your doing the same but winning....

    With only 5 actual buttons... for the most part the allocation goes:
    1 CC
    1 Mobility Move
    1 Self-preservation/Heal ability
    1 Single Target Damage button
    1 AoE Damage button

    People generally dont run around with 5 damage buttons or 3 CC moves. While I can see this change having merit in PVP for PVE it just completely screws over almost every build... not to mention a huge dent in VR where mobs have so much HP that you *will* have to reuse CC more than once.

    I dont think this change if intentional was properly thought through.

    It worked for me on some duneripper things in VR9 Sentinel. Then I run off and found some undead, and it failed repeatedly. It only sent them running once, it then didn't go off for several tries. I stood there taking it to the face while pressing my slotted button repeatedly. Right before I died it went off a second time and sent them running. Is there now a delay before we can use it again??

    I do seriously and sincerely hope this is a bug that will be fixed asap. If this is intentional, I will then be convinced you want this game to go free-to-play and are deliberately trying to make a case to do so by making as many people quit as possible.
