Obscenely Slow Download Speeds

Hey folks,
Just wondering if anyone else is having difficulty with their download speeds? I have cable internet, and I'm currently using my router, but I've also tried using the ethernet cable (the couch is more comfy though) with no change to my dl speed. My download speed is hovering around 265 kB/s - essentially dialup speeds. Anyone else finding this to be the case?

I did have a ridiculously slow 30-40 KBs for the first 60% of the download of the PTS. It took a few days to download it. Couldn't find anything wrong on my end with it.PUG Life - the true test of your skill

Can confirm it is their end. Always is. You will be told often it is your end. But once you do get in, you will still notice a massive lag in game thanks to their end of the packet sending/receiving side of things. Cyrodil is currently like playing in slow motion.

Mine started out at about 1 to 1.5 mbs and has since dropped to about 140 to 240 kbs0

there's... gosh. so many things you could troubleshoot. everything from realtime antivirus/malware tools right up to router settings... and it's never some obvious setting that fixes the problem.0 -
I got the first 4 gig down and was working on the second 4 gig. I thought I would reset my modem connection. It appears that it lost the original 4 gig and started the whole damn download over again at square one.0

I'm thinking it may have to do with their servers & so many people downloading the patch at the same time. I had two computers downloading the patch & both were done in about 2 hours from 5:30 pm est to 7:30 pm est. I want to say my download speed at lowest that I saw was 1.75mb/ps. I'm not sure since I was doing other things while it was downloading though.
I don't mind the patch taking a while to download. It's a lot of content to be added, fixes to be done & changes to be made. It allows me to do other things around the apartment that need to get done or read my book that I've been reading since I started playing this game since I haven't really picked it up besides on patch days.Legendary Legion

382ms is abysmal, and most of those speed sites read at mb/s not mB/s. If you currently hit 1.7mb/s to a speedtest you're getting about right. I would suggest going around your house and checking for anything else sucking your bandwidth, including torrent programs and people watching Netflix.
I averaged about 6.2mB/s even though I started around 400-500kB/s. My wifes machine is downloading right now at 4mB/s but that is also because I have every other machine in the house throttled so that I get the lions share of the bandwidth.Edited by Armianlee on June 25, 2014 2:29AMBasic circle of complaints on ESO Forums:
