Obscenely Slow Download Speeds

I suffered the same, 1.9 mbps down to 9 kbps. I paused the download and immediately started it again, and the high speeds were back.Xalterra - Templar1 -

I had the same issue.
I canceled the D/L, waited a minute or so, and restarted it 3 or 4 times until I got one that stuck at around 500K for the duration of making dinner.
Speedtest.net was showing my normal 50/25 FIOS line was averaging 60/35 Mbps, so it wasn't my stuff.
Freezes and lags in game were a PITA.
And all my add-ons were busted.

I understand that it's a big patch, and there's plenty being changed & added (my Templar & I are looking forward to it, actually). I'm just surprised at the slowness compared to past patches.
@C0pp3rhead I've had slow download speeds with I want to say the last 2 big patches so this one & the Craglorn patch. I have no idea what causes it. Especially since with this patch I'm on a wired connection. The Craglorn patch I was on a wifi connection but this patch shouldn't have been so slow.

Yes this is taking far too long for my liking.... If I had a slow connection I could be more understanding, but I don't. I pay a top premium for a high end connection so there's no way it could be on my end... Like they say: Patience is a virtue; Good things come to those who wait, all that stuff.

The slow download speed is on their end and it sucks, fastest I have seen is 18mbs. I don't think we will continue to pay a monthly fee for a company who can not provide proper bandwith for their patches.
