What they should have done was start this at about midnight EST so they would be done around when most people get on to play. And to top it off they have this HUGE download for use to go through as well. Talk about a lack of consideration for the customer!

It might save your sanity.
I was getting about 500-800kbps at first, but now getting about 23kbps and am at 18%. It all but nearly stopped at one point. I paused/resumed and it kicked back in. It's fairly obvious this is going to probably take a while regardless of my 75/35mbps connection. I could rage and scream about it, or just let it do it's thing and go do something else until it finishes. I think I'll save my forehead veins and just do something else, like, read the forums. ;p
I agree they probably need a better time-table/content delivery system so that we're not stuck with multiple 4-5gb (Did one of you say 24gb? ouch) patches at the same time, but I would also assume they must have a reason for doing it that way. Maybe it prevents some corruption or otherwise if patch #2 isn't immediately applied to #1. I really don't know, and would love for some ZOS insight, but I don't think they want to intentionally annoy people paying them money.
All that aside, the update looks exciting. I'm psyched for the bow improvements.
