What the hell is with the boss Corruption of the Tree is Daggerfall?

At Vet 6 that thing is one hit killing me for over 2400pts of damage. How the hell is any one suppose to beat that on their own? Especially a NB!!

My hit points only go to 2486 IF I have something to eat to boost it over 336pts.

With bosses this strong on Vet levels I am getting more and more pissed with the game and am finding the constant fights for your life to be tedious. I doubt I am going to be renewing my subscription when the time times if it keeps it up.. This game is getting less and less fun.

What's wrong with calling some friends to help?
But yea some staff is really strong.. but I think that's what unique about TSO. Its not lost to casuals like WoW is.

I called for help .. no one responded or answered so I have to leave it and move on to another quest for now and wait until later. But I am a mainly solo player... I don't belong to Guilds and I have only one other friend who actually plays the game.

The vet zones aren't deserted, they're all ghosts, boo :)
Actually the vet zones are mostly devoid of other players most of the time. Try doing a dolman with 3 or 4 players; bring soul gems, lots of soul gems. And good luck getting into a decent group for any of the group dungeons :(....

This game, sir, requires some intuition.

You can beat this boss. Listen to the NPC's inside the tree with you. They will tell you when to run to their side so they can protect you. Look for the one that is glowing and listen for the audio cues.

And I have news for you: this is not the only boss in the world that is going to require some intuition to defeat.

If strategy and thinking is not your thing, this game is not for you.

When I first did this, the NPC's were still bugged and spoke german, so it was like.... ok they told me to do something, but not sure what.... BOOM dead. Umm, maybe they told me to run to them, will try the next.

Now they are English and doing this on a V6 alt was easy, unless they got broken in the last patch (as a few things did)

Don't be an ***** hat and assume that I am not doing what is required and that I don't have any "intuitation" about how this game is played...

The problem is, is that even if I listen to elementals, the guys attack is going through them! I am standing either right front of the elemental touching their body with my face or even right behind them and the enemy's attack is still one hit killing me. And yes.... the elemental I am at is the one that had the nice golden glowing pillar.

I've played 98% of the vet levels ON MY OWN, including the dungeons.... so I know full well what has to be done at these levels and my character has been built in order to be able to deal with these issues at Vet level while keeping it the way I want it to be without having to rebuild it.

If that were true, you would not have created this post in the first place. And, ever notice you are the only one complaining about it? Odds are, you are doing something wrong. I am only trying to help.

Remember, DC players do this boss when they are not in vet levels. Veteran levels do NOT have anything to do with it.

Except for the fact that most players when they do this in non-Vet levels are typically a few levels higher than the actual quest boss when they go to do it.. and yes it actually does make a difference. I have seen it..

Besides.. it is over and done with now... GM reset the boss for me and I was no longer getting wailed on when I was in the "safe zone" like I was when I posted this.
